Mad was a boardmarker in his youth :)

I started as a board marker back in the day - one of the last ladbrokes shops to get screens

Those first screens were so antiquated :rotfl:Go in a bookies now and you'd be forgiven if you thought you had just interrupted a NASA moon landing :rotfl:You got any shops or do you trade on course?

Thanks guys - Mr 3Dogs is happily lounging on sofa watching cricket :(:( My first thought when he fell was 'oh my God, how am I going to get him down the stairs to the car and home' so I was astonished when he started laughing coz the pain had gone. He is back on his normal meds without the added strong stuff, so that is good. His physio appointment came through today, got a cancellation for 3.30 pm tomorrow, so still going so they can give him some ideas to stop it coming back and what to do if it does come back
    :( Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12 :( 3Dogs'Mam 31-3-13 :(

I just work in the shops now as a trainer/ general manager
My grandfather used to work the tote on course for White city I believe ?
Very small independent bookie just 3 shops and he still has the old antiquated screens it's quite funny really
I spent 7 years training old shops to use new epos equipment and I now work for one of my customers
Still find it a fascinating business - 20 something years in the industry good job I still love it

Afternoon all. Just caught up but don't think I've missed anything in the way of a glitch :(

Good news about OH 3 Dogs :)

Having a day at home as DS is off school poorly .....(but not too poorly to be sat in bed watching TV ;))
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

I was going to train as a settler but got offered work elsewhere. Only thing that stops me going in a bookies now is the FOBT 's what a rip-off:eek: I still go to the dogs regularly. Great night out :T
