    Good evening all,

Mixed day for me today :/
I finally found a boots with the shots so i got myself 12 with some cheap and some expensive vitamins as those were the ones i buy anyway, so i was really happy with that.:j:j

    and then on to t's......
for those of you who remember me posting a few days ago about previously getting dtd refunded to me in 2 transactions for the difference and finding out i had only received the 1 payment back.... well it has finally been sorted and after 4 calls to HO, 4 calls to store, 1 to my bank,1 to visa a 40 mile round trip to the store and i was turned away and told i had to wait 28 days bla bla bla........ anyway friday i got a call back from the store and i was asked to go all the way back to get my refund again as somewhere my second payment was stopped by t's as they thought it was a mistake and i was to ask for the person dealing with my claim and i would be personally seen, so today i got there and no one wanted to come and speak to me:mad:, the girl on CS desk was told over the phone to give me a refund and thats that!!
Firstly I had to walk around the store to go find the product i was overcharged on in the first place..... i told to girl that i felt very disappointed with the way i was being treated and that i was supposed to be seeing someone to at least be given an apology from them.:o ( i was told by HO that i should be receiving a gesture of good will as compensation for all my trouble and petrol costs for my now 2nd 40mile round trips just to get my own money!! but all i wanted was for them was to say sorry and admit that they hadnt dealt with me properly!!)

So when we got back to CS desk the girl phoned someone and told me to wait so i did, The girl then sorted out my refund ( At last)
I stood there waiting a little while when a woman in office clothes came to speak to me and OMG her attitude was terrible !!! she was totally peeved that i was having the nerve to bother her and was like You've had our money what do you want!! I couldnt believe the way she was being like total attitude with arms folded and head wobbling lol
I told her that i was very disappointed that after all the trouble ive had to get my own money and i was asked to come back today and no one was willing to come and even speak to me...... She was like well what do you mean?? and i had to point out to her that she wasnt coming down initially and i had to tell someone how unhappy i was and they had to ask her down! I started to tell her all of what had happened but she just stopped me dead and went " I know All about it and as far as we are concerned you were paid it wasnt our fault that the second transaction was stopped and we investigated it and looked and your bank details and you've been given OTHER refunds from Tesco's!!!
I was gobsmacked! I said yes i did but it was in another store for a total different product and amount! (I felt like she was trying to insinuate that i have been doing some dodgy dealing here)

She was just totally peeved that i was bothering her.....I said to her cant you see where i'm coming from??? you failed to give me back my own money ive had to do all this running around (named every call and visit to store again) I said if it was the other was around and i hadnt paid them money then i would have the police at my store and be prosecuted but all she's done to me is give me grief and attitude!! i did mention to her about what HO said about a gesture of goodwill to cover my costs and I should have an apology so she scowled at me and said well Im sorry you didnt get your money but as far as we are concerned we paid you so i will give you £5 on a gift car and that is more than enough to cover your petrol!! I just looked at her stunned and before i knew it she had rung it up and shoved it at me...... I did take it and walked out of the store in disbelief..
I walked back to the car as my OH was waiting for me and told him all what happened i was quite annoyed then thinking about it and thought i should have just walked out when she shoved the gift card at me and not taken it as IMHO it was an insult really Gggrrrrr

I'm still annoyed now writing this, i hope you can understand where i'm coming from as i'm not sure i'm getting this out properly lol

not much to say apart from this:

Just seen on the news that Past Times and Peacocks have both gone into administration today. Bit grim on the highstreet isn't it....just like last January...I wonder how many more will go under in the next couple of weeks. :(
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Hi All, not logged on for a while as V busy. Hope you are well.

I thought it worth letting you know that my bank have contacted me this evening regarding some unusual transactions.

Long story short, my card details/account have been compromised and I am out a few hundred quid over the last couple of days!

As quite a few of my online transactions have been to companies and for products I have seen on this site, as well as HUKD, it might be wise for you guys to keep a special eye on your accounts etc.

Will let you know if anything else comes to light.

    HTH. BobC:(

Mega :(!!!!:mad::mad::mad::(:(:(:( Poor you, I really hope you manage to get everything sorted.

    Evening all

I bought a couple of reduced items earlier this eve, labels said 55p (each) both scanned at £2.00. Went to CS and was told, as I had used self service no DTD. I mentioned I had other shopping and had not noticed ;) and it didn't seem fair - SA said I could phone head office and they would confirm what she had said.

    Is that true?

    Thanks

I'm not sure about this one. If you go to SS with a reduced item and scan the original barcode, then it will of course scan at full price. I know this isn't giving you an answer tessietwo, I wish I could be more helpful but it's not something I've experienced. I'd be interested to hear others experiences though :)

This is the second one we've done now.
Love things like this. We do the ladybird survey too
    All good stuff!

Will be doing the garden one, each year my DS1 (10yo) asks if we can put meat out to see if the Red Kites & Buzzards that are in the area will land in the garden so he can count them!!:rotfl::rotfl: He's a real bird brain (in both senses)

Evening folks, is the bar open? I'll have a red wine if it is. Well not a bad day even though I say it myself :D

First I nipped to IKEA to buy some extra shelves for an existing unit and discovered a rotating light thingy that casts pin hole lights on the ceiling and walls ... Stråla reduced from £17.99 to £5 ... I think I'll go back tomorrow and get a couple more ... lovely to look at and very soothing indeed.

Then a fruitless trip to B&Q to get a very strange looking bulb ... I got the nearest to the one I wanted but it's no good ... so back it goes.

    Then Mr T #1 ... where I spotted:
    • 2 packs of Christmas Stampers and Ink (b/c 9226 - 38p)
    • 3 square side plates RTC (b/c 6085) to 13p each :) they also had red "3 for 2" stickers on them :rotfl:. There were only 3 left so I snaffled them ... and yes you've guessed it the "3 for 2" didn't kick in and I had the cheek to get a 26p DTD
Anyhow the 26p DTD came in handy cos in Mr T #2 I stumbled across some Littlest Pet Shop figures (b/c 1011) which scanned at 4p each. There were some other with the other b/c (066 I think) but I didn't scan them. I thought I was gonna get trouted as I tried to use a SS till but was told cos I had a big trolley (had the 2 LOs with me) that I had to go thru a manned till. Luckily I went to a till with a young male SA and as we got to the LPS figures (6 in a display box) I just simply mentioned they were reduced ... and he asked if I wanted the box (Yes please) and he scanned them thru :j

So for £1.13 not a bad little haul.
    • 3 square side plates
    • 2 Christmas stampers and ink
    • 6 Little Pet Shop figures

Just watched last nights Sherlock that we'd recorded.....Wow what an ending!!

I reckon the dead guy was Moriarty. If you play it back on iplayer you will see that there was a quick shot of a container with bagged rubbish in. Sherlock jumped in that. Watson's view was obscured. I reckon in his grief he was convinced in the belief that the dead person was Sherlock.

When you see the calm expression on Sherlock's brother's face as he reads the paper headlines, it is obvious to me that he arranged to have the articles written. To convince the world of his death.

    What do ya reckon?!
