Despite it being Friday 13th, I'm having a really good day so far.
Parking fine revoked and my son has just texted to say that he has passed a maths exam which counts towards his GCSE!
He really struggles with maths, so for him to manage a "C" grade is a real achievement...bless him!!

Well done, Thats fantastic:T Gives me goose bumps when I hear about our kids doing well. My bestie's DD was desperately trying to get a C in maths and my DS helped her, and she got it, and I know how happy she was, so big :T:T:T:T

Loving the posts about the milk :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yeah ... esp as Mr T sells 4 pints of semi-skimmed and whole milk for £1 (purple tops/labels) dunno about skimmed as I've never used it.

That is so good to hear, well done to your DS. :T

DD3 is not as academic as my other 2 and she has her first GSCE today, in English Literature. Probably sat doing it at this moment. I really hope she reads the question properly as got ungraded in the mock as had not answered what had been asked. Her teacher said the content would have been a "C" grade. I am so nervous she seems to young by far to be taking exams and GCSEs seemed to pass me by with DD1 and DD2 did not have to get involved at all. DD2 being self motivated to the extreme and DD1 always doing enough to get the results she wanted. DD3s school are getting them to do this quite early as they "felt they would all cope". I hope they get a chance to retake the module if it doesn't go well. But hopefully it won't be needed.

I only managed a quick "in and out" to Mr T yesterday and so picked up a basket (rather than a trolley) ... and at the same time wombled 2 receipts and a till spit "£6 off £40 spend" :j ... now it's burning a hole in my pocket :)

I wondered that but the wrapping paper and cereal threw me, I know there has been a few coupons around for different cereals. Anyway 13 is my lucky number and seeing as it is 13th today thought would try my luck. :D
