the Mr T mini egg glitch has just hit Yahoo news ...
The items were incorrectly priced at 1p with an additional buy one get one free offer – meaning that one shopper was able to purchase 46 bags for just 23p. The glitch affected Tesco stores across the UK with problems reported in Bolton, Lea Valley and Penarth.
Several took to shopping site HotUkDeals to discuss the mistake, with one user reporting that they “had the lot” from their local Tesco. Other items were reported to have to same glitch with Lindor mini eggs going through the till at a penny, though without the buy-one-get-one-free deal. A user joked that they had “cleared out” the store after capitalising on the mistake.
My nephew gets the tesco updates from me when he comes in from work, he saw it on yahoo news earlier0 -

I am banned from any sales stupid OH doesn't realise it will be saving money in the long run!
Any ebay experts out there regarding returning faulty items? Basically OH fixes laptops/pc's and we ordered a screen from a seller we have used before, screen not working OH thinks its a fried chip (not the type you can eat)
Contacted them and they want us to send back, fair enough but will not refund postage and they didn't have a postage charge to send as it was "free", is there anything we can do about this? We may end up even losing this customer as we told him the laptop would be done a week ago
Stating the sale of goods act plus distance selling regulations
An Item that is purchased over the internet and delivered not fit for purpose can be sent back to the seller at the sellers expense for a full refund of cost of item and postage costs.
The seller has no choice but to pay the return postage!!
It is also the sellers responsibility to ensure an item reaches the customer in a usable condition and the seller is fully responsible for any damages to the item whilst in transit.
However it is the customers responsibility to check their items at the point of delivery and inspect for signs of damage before signing for the item as being delivered in good condition.
The customer also has what is called the cooling off period in which the customer can cancel the order of an item within 7 days of purchase and the seller is also required to pay return postage. If the customer changes their mind about an item after the 7 days and before 28days and wishes to return the item to the seller for a refund of the cost of the item, then and only then will the customer be required to pay return postage and be responsible for any damage in transit, once the item is received to the seller the cost of the item can be refunded and the initial postage fees kept by the seller.
If however you have paid for the item via paypal you can open a dispute with them which will freeze any payment whilst they investigate the dispute (paypal always go in favour of the buyer)
I hope this help0 -

If you start a dispute through eBay - eBay may send you a returns label themselves, but this is quite rare. If you are returning it - please do post it as a 'Signed For' service. So you have proof it was delivered.
but they may pay if they are niceOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Hi
If the ebay seller is a business seller then as far as I was told they are obliged under DSR to refund return postage costs, but you may have to request this and quote the DSR to them (new items).
If it is classed as a second hand item or shop soiled stock then other rules apply as they can be classed as sold as seen items, so it is up to the seller if they will accept the item back and I think in those instances return postage is paid by the customer.
HTH a little.

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -

I a m pretty sure but not definate, but distance selling laws say if item is faulty then postage refund is t sellers cost. Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -
PMSL, just kicked it off big time in my local store!!!
Turned up just in time to see the remnanats of the first batch of fruit and veg all over the floor with the burkha lady and her family with arm fulls of stuff and everyone else with next to nothing and them all complaining. There was also a member of the public who couldn't get trhrough with his trolley He said it was embarrasing to watch and they behaved like animals.
I thought enough was enough so went to complain. Theres a lovely lady on CS who really is very helpful but also won't stand any nonsense and as luck would have it she was on tonight. I went and complained and she said she'd take a look. In the meantime I said to the other bargain hunters that it needed more than just me to complain otherwise I'd just sound like a whinger! 2 of them did just that.
A little while later the chap was about to reduce the meat (there wasn't much) and asked him when he'd be out with it so I could avoid the 'rugby scrum'. he laughed and said they 'd like a certain family stopped. I thought hmmmm, I've heard that somewhere before!!!
10 mins later and the manager I'd spoken too stood by the meat area as the reductions were wheeled out and everyone got what they wanted. She came over to me and said how orderly and peaceful it was. I commented that it was becasue ceretain people were not there. She then went on to add that since I'd complained she'd spoken to the members of the reduction team and was gobsmacked that they'd all told her exactly the same thing!
a short while later the last of the fruit n veg came out and she watched as that was dived into and scrumed over! She then told me how she had the right to refuse to serve anyone she so chose. As I left the store the whole family were stood at CS with the manager and things didn't look too happy!!!
Sooooo, a huge thank you to Tesco for listening and doing the right thing.
