Is there another QPR supporter on here ? I think its just me, I post a lot :rotfl:

I've a good friend who is an avid QPR fan (life long) , he has trouble getting to games as he now lives in Canada . He was gutted about Neil going .
Stated it's the end of his season .

4p tends to do all the cooking - so he'll fit in well here with his creations :)

Was given a lift home so I didn't get to go past Boots :( sorry.

Where I work there are 3 parking bays for 15 mins & then a single yellow line outside. Across the road is a 300 spaces car park. But still customers park outside on the yellow line. In the middle of the yellow line is a drop down kerb for wheelchairs, buggies etc.
The local council now have their own traffic wardens to 'police' the area. Issuing £35 fines immediately if someone is parked blocking the drop kerb, even disabled drivers as, in their words, they should know better than to block another disabled persons path :T Which I can understand.
So when I'm standing out there having a fag it becomes interesting watching
To crown it all off - they can pay the fine at our counter :)

Yay we'll suss out if this sale is on or not:T:T Elite 11+ We're like undercover detectives!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Whilst out on my travels today I detected Lindt and Cadburys eggs on clipstrips with correct barcodes but scanning full price now. :( (That was FB for any of my local friends.)

So to console myself went to Boots for something a bit healthier, was just before 7pm and no obvious signs that the 75% sale imminent BUT the ACM was off and I know that some stores usually do this just beforehand to stop us taking advantage of any offers that may work with sale stuff. Puts dark glasses back on as got some more vits and shots. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Right done a rekkie on 3 Boots stores. 2 had no signs but if I remember rightly last year, when I went in one they didnt even realise they were at 75%!!! But the big one on the trading estate which closes at 7pm still had people working when I went there at 8.30. I went right up to the big doors and peered in, think I gave them a bit of a shock:rotfl::rotfl:Wanted to have a good lurk but had a feeling they might have called the security guard and his dog over if I'd have stood peering much longer:o:oSo am seriously wondering if they're on overtime geting ready for tomorrow. Think I'll set the alarm, get ready and watch the Boots thread;)

I'm afraid I only made mushroom soup once and it sounds like your efforts matched mine! Probably was doomed as I used whoopsied mushrooms that were on their last legs... (or stems?!). Looked really murky and tasted too earthy. It did not go down well and I haven't attempted it since

Bet some other thrifty MSEr could assist?

I chop whoopsied mushrooms into slices, quarters, halves and leave some whole, freeze separately, , then add from frozen to home made pizza, casseroles, mediterranean veg, hot salad, omelettes etc from frozen. If there are whoopsied mushrooms at a good price, they're going in my trolley!
    Hope is not a strategy.

  • I had quite a good T's day.... No Clip strip chocies.. I wasnt too stressed about that, as both my DD's and myself are in a serious diet so only my OH would/ could eat them, so no worries there.

Managed to pick up 6 Andrex 1p each
3 bin smelly thingies 1p each
I got 6 reduced sausage meat down to 50p
    4 haribo 25p

Plus managed to pick up 6 boxes of the Chicken and got DTD with no issues what so ever..
