I don't know whether to stay up for the Boots online sale tonight. I stayed up until 3am last year but it didn't start until 8am-ish so I slept late and then had all the usual palaver of being unable to check out. My local Boots is small and didn't have much last year. Then again maybe the sale won't start until next week or maybe it won't start at all.0

I used to do no.2 cakes in a microwave.....
2oz of EVERYTHING: sugar, butter & sr flour and 1 egg
Cook for 2 mins in microwave. Easy peasy. Serves 4. Tastes like a steamed sponge.
Endless variations too:
*Substitute 1/2 oz of flour for cocoa for choc sponge.
*Pop syrup at the bottom of yer bowl before adding the mix for syrup sponge.
*Add coffee granules with the flour for coffee cake (could also add walnuts or crushed nuts)
*Add dried fruit
*Add lemon zest to the mix then drizzle with sugar and lemon juice whilst hot n steaming.
*Add dessicated coconut to the mix then smear top with warm jam and sprinkle with more coconut for a school dinners type pud.
Etc etc.
Love your recipe though. Wish I could fit one in my kitchen
JJ, how do you mix this? by hand or whisk and what sort of consistency are you after please?"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Let me just state for the record that 52 is not "really old". Especially for a lady like Ladyleenie who obviously takes care of herself and is young at heart.
"Really Old" is a state of mind. Some people are not very old at all really at 70, and others are positively ancient at 35.
PS I'm a fellow Per Una fan. Just prefer not to source it from M&S where possible

Hi all
I have a quick question, if any one can answer.
I went to my local Mr T and bought some of the chicken which should be 2 for £3 as boxed and I forgot to check receipt as was too busy with 1p chocs.
If I phone HO will they refund me or give double the diff, I can't recall what the outcomes have been for others in these instances
Just take your reciept and an empty box showing the 2 for £3 offer and you will get your dtd.:)Never pay more than you have too0 -
Could we not have a thread for Jumblejack's yummy recipe and ideas? Be a great source of inspiration.
i love the idea of a recipe thread, although we could all add to it. In honour of JJ's fab inspiration, we could call it JJ's or something :TI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Hi
If the ebay seller is a business seller then as far as I was told they are obliged under DSR to refund return postage costs, but you may have to request this and quote the DSR to them (new items).
If it is classed as a second hand item or shop soiled stock then other rules apply as they can be classed as sold as seen items, so it is up to the seller if they will accept the item back and I think in those instances return postage is paid by the customer.
HTH a little.
HelenHave funI am banned from any sales stupid OH doesn't realise it will be saving money in the long run!
Any ebay experts out there regarding returning faulty items? Basically OH fixes laptops/pc's and we ordered a screen from a seller we have used before, screen not working OH thinks its a fried chip (not the type you can eat)
Contacted them and they want us to send back, fair enough but will not refund postage and they didn't have a postage charge to send as it was "free", is there anything we can do about this? We may end up even losing this customer as we told him the laptop would be done a week ago0
