Right done a rekkie on 3 Boots stores. 2 had no signs but if I remember rightly last year, when I went in one they didnt even realise they were at 75%!!! But the big one on the trading estate which closes at 7pm still had people working when I went there at 8.30. I went right up to the big doors and peered in, think I gave them a bit of a shock:rotfl::rotfl:Wanted to have a good lurk but had a feeling they might have called the security guard and his dog over if I'd have stood peering much longer:o:oSo am seriously wondering if they're on overtime geting ready for tomorrow. Think I'll set the alarm, get ready and watch the Boots thread;)

Why didn't you tap on the glass to get them to come over or hold up a sign "Is it the 75% sale tomorrow" :)

    Know how you feel!

Hope that you had a good weekend and that your DD did the best that she could.

Thanks MKS, I think I have lost the plot, did I already mention she was going back early for exams this week. She sounded quite positive today but is dreading tomorrow. What will be will be. :)

anyone watching the biggest loser?? how do they work out these ages , is it not just away of scaring them into losing weight ??

I'm recording it, I'd forgotten it was on actually.
They work out the ages from a number of statistics based on an average healthy person of say 20, 25, 30 etc. There will be a lung function type test, several fitness ones and also heart and pulse and flexibility, that sort of thing. Added together gives an average body "age" against someone's real age.
On the biggest loser, they seem to use it as a stick to beat the contestants with and then several weeks later they test them again and see how many years they have "gained" back.

TBH I'm not sure how accurate it really is - I'm overweight and unfit, but I'm really flexible (oo-er missus) and that seems to counterweight the other bad factors whenever I've done these sorts of tests, making my age/score better than it could be.

    It's only a game

PMSL, just kicked it off big time in my local store!!!

Turned up just in time to see the remnanats of the first batch of fruit and veg all over the floor with the burkha lady and her family with arm fulls of stuff and everyone else with next to nothing and them all complaining. There was also a member of the public who couldn't get trhrough with his trolley He said it was embarrasing to watch and they behaved like animals.

I thought enough was enough so went to complain. Theres a lovely lady on CS who really is very helpful but also won't stand any nonsense and as luck would have it she was on tonight. I went and complained and she said she'd take a look. In the meantime I said to the other bargain hunters that it needed more than just me to complain otherwise I'd just sound like a whinger! 2 of them did just that.

A little while later the chap was about to reduce the meat (there wasn't much) and asked him when he'd be out with it so I could avoid the 'rugby scrum'. he laughed and said they 'd like a certain family stopped. I thought hmmmm, I've heard that somewhere before!!!

10 mins later and the manager I'd spoken too stood by the meat area as the reductions were wheeled out and everyone got what they wanted. She came over to me and said how orderly and peaceful it was. I commented that it was becasue ceretain people were not there. She then went on to add that since I'd complained she'd spoken to the members of the reduction team and was gobsmacked that they'd all told her exactly the same thing!

a short while later the last of the fruit n veg came out and she watched as that was dived into and scrumed over! She then told me how she had the right to refuse to serve anyone she so chose. As I left the store the whole family were stood at CS with the manager and things didn't look too happy!!!

Sooooo, a huge thank you to Tesco for listening and doing the right thing.

**FK who now has a bounty on their head, signing off..........**

Well done FK for saying something.
Being as you've mentioned the whoopsie scrum, I'll tell you all what happened after Sundays scrum with me. I did email customer services who phoned me within a couple of hours on Monday. They were gobsmacked about the whole thing and wanted to forward my email to the store manager. The store manager phoned me today. He promised me faithfully that the footage that was taken wouldnt go any further and also told me that he was trying to get particular people banned from the store. He mentioned two of the customers that I remembered being there and said that their actions with reductions was horrendous and they were from a shop just around the corner and were reselling his reductions. In a roundabout way he was trying to say that he knew the SA had been filming He said that no longer would the whoopsies come out in a customer trolley, but stores that brought it out in the green crates were breaking T's policy and were'nt meant to do it. Just waiting to hear back from HO regarding compensation for my trauma ;)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
