Afternoon ladies, been missing past few days and haven't managed to catch up
. Hope life is treating you all well. Hugs for poorlies, anyone feeling down, infact for everyone really.
My fibro has flared up big time. Really suffering with it at the mo. None of my meds seem to be doing much so going to speak to gp Mon morning.
Ds3 went to a party last night with some of his friends and they were jumped from behind by 2 men on their way home.:mad:. Son has suffered a fractured hand and cuts and bruising to his body and face. Spent 4 hours this morn in a&e. Took me all that time to convince him to report it to the police. He was to embarressed to, but like the dr said he had done nothing wrong so had nothing to be ashamed of. Spoke to the police to report it and they should be here within the next half hour to take a statement from him. His friend is still at the hospital he has lots of cuts and bruising to his face and head. Will keep you all informed as I learn more. I was hoping that 2012 would be quieter and better than 2011 but after last night I don't have much faith in that to be honest.
So cra ppy day here . No OS done , luckily ds1 has taken over the reigns for the day . To top it all ds2 went back to Swansea Uni this morn. He said he would go back tomorrow once he knew that his brother was ok, but I told him that there was nothing he could do and I would ring him with updates. He txt me a little while ago to say he had got back safely. Will phone him this evening when everything has quietened down here. Have no idea what we are having for dinner tonight, have some chicken in the fridge so will definately be chicken something.
Take care ladies:)Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -

Afternoon all
DS brought my DD's spare washing line round, it's up & full of washing, he also took hubby to get the timber for the raised bed.
Hubby is still feeling a little delicate, I think there is some blood returning to his alcoholstream! I had problems getting him in the car last night, he was pointing in the right direction, but kept veering of backwards. He woke me up a couple of times during the night, it seems the bed was spinning & he was hanging on to me to make sure I didn't fall out of bed! This morning he managed to crush his thumb trying to collapse the old washing line & I was a bit short on sympathy, lol.
I put petrol in the car this morning & bought a loaf of Tiger bread, that will do us for today for meals, tomorrow I'm doing a roast dinner with some of the left over turkey from the freezer.
Bramble, no rush to get the books, you have enough on your plate.
BB, I'll upload some pics of the soap sacks to FB later, you use the soap in the woolen sack, it has an exfolliating effect.
Thanks for the info Janie
Hugs Hester

What they both said !!!! explain !! I love swede, but it takes sooooo long to cook, do you have to peel and stab it first and how long ??? got me all excited now too !!0 -
Me too pleeeese I love swede but hate peeling and dicing it
Decided to have a bath last night and realised why I stick to showers now, it was so painful getting in and out and that was with DH helping methe neighbours must have wondered what the hell was going on I squealed so loud:rotfl:
DH had to go into work today to let the roofers in and to see them off the grounds, so we haven't been able to go anywhere today, but we went to Bletchley yesterday and spent over £140  not very MSE but DS needed shoes and as he is a size 12 we get them in Sports Direct who also do the larger size socks so he came away with 10 pairs socks a pair of kerrimore toe tector boots, a pair of kerrimore toe tector shoes a new kangol bag for college, and a pair of ski gloves, DH got some new socks, and I got a giant calculator, that I can actually see the numbers on as well that came to £71 I thought that was very good for what we bought.
We then went to B&M and I got DH an RAC sat nav for £49.99 (That is his birthday pressie next month) plus other bits and bobs that came to another £23. So no more spending for a while.
I have just put the heating on because the temperature seems to have dived in the last hour, that might help dry some of the washing that I have hanging all over the houseBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I know the answer. Trim the top and bottom, pr1ck it all over and nuke it for 20-25 mins. Cut and scoop out and season. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0
