i had a friend in the same situation not so long her parents asked her to leave they weren't happy about the pregnancy anyway she then went into a mother & baby home which is like a massive house converted into individual flats, abit like a bedsit there are staff available 24/7 to offer support & they helped my friend to get a council flat but its horrible dinky little place, absolutely stinks of cat wee, authorities dont feel sorry for teen mums no more its not as easy as it was before.0

I don't have alot of sympathy for those who cannot use protection correctly.
That's not fair to say I fell pregnant whilst using protection it does happen.
OP I wish you luck with the baby but like the majority have said you nd your partner need to get into work ASAP which from your posts I am sure you know. Don't just send CVs for every job though go round the shops and hand them in many shops keep CVs on file as it then saves them advertising when they do need someone.
Myself and my husband found permanent work by signing with agencies and taking temp work to begin with - try signing up most just want a 20 minute interview with you.
I hope you manage to get somewhere but be realistic xxTo get to Disneyland Florida 20160 -
I would stay put if I was you! Bringing up a baby is really hard whatever your age, take all the support you can get while it's there-at home!2012 bring it on!;)0

It wasn't exactly a choice to have a baby, but it happened and now I've got to make the best of it! I know we're lucky to have a place to live to live but our room is only big enough for a single bed and I'm getting fat so 2 people sleeping in it is a bit cramped haha
At 17, I was busting my backside off for uni, working full-time outside of school and saving, rather than having sex and children. If we waited for the perfect time financially, there would never be, infact, 2 children cost well in excess of £1000 per week by the time we’ve considered school fees!
My advice to you here is to speak to Social Services, as you are under 18 in cramped accomodation, meaning that they have a legal duty to get involved.
See your GP regarding the issue also
Contact a local housing group.
As soon as the baby is here, GET A JOB and make a joint TC claim. Oh’s parents seem to be caring to the situation. If necessary, both work nights and share shifts to look after DB in the day. We do this around both running companies and both sitting on 3 different councils.
There’s nothing more I can say really!💙💛 💔0 -
i had my son when i was 18( and he wasnt an accident) ... it is not an easy path you tread .. but it isnt impossible either .... i worked until 2 days before my son was born and was back at work when he was 2 weeks old ( i wish i had maternity leave) theres nothing to stop you from working just now ...0

Don't forget to check the Freebies board as there is often free baby stuff on offer. Sorry I can't be of much use to you, but I would like to say keep your chin up, I know there have been a few comments but at the end of the day, you didn't get pregnant deliberately and you're over the age of consent so no crime or moral injustice has been committed. There is plenty of help and advice re: benefits, housing and moneysaving on the Forum so do have a look around. Best of luck : )0

Gawd no she didn't, an angel came down and put a baby in her tummy
Babies dont just happen you know, there has to be a sperm fertilising an egg. Quotes like that make my blood boil, its not a primark t shirt she just bought on a whim, or a bus she missed cos the sink overflowed, its a baby. With no means of being supported whatsoever.
I wish you luck OP, but bloody hell, wise up, get a job for the next 3 months and provide for your child. You are all he or she has.Don't forget to check the Freebies board as there is often free baby stuff on offer. Sorry I can't be of much use to you, but I would like to say keep your chin up, I know there have been a few comments but at the end of the day, you didn't get pregnant deliberately and you're over the age of consent so no crime or moral injustice has been committed. Just wanted to say: OP I hope it all works out for you.
I'm 24 weeks pregnant. I'm 27 and married and my husband has a permanent job. We are struggling to make ends meet! Who knows how we'll cope when the baby gets here - but we will
I think some people are trying to tell you (although not very delicately or eloquently) that yes the world is a scary place and yes things will be hard for your family but life is what you make of it.
To the woman who worked oh so hard through her pregnancy and is shocked by those who cannot - did you ever think there maybe is a reason why we can't all be so perfect and feminist like you and have it all? I haven't worked at all during my pregnancy because I struggled to even get out of bed on a morning! Not everyone is so lucky as you and some of us struggle through our pregnancies.
So, OP, ignore the cretins who have judged you (I notice none of them asked as to why you couldn't live with your own parents), take the advice of the people who talked sense and go for it! Enjoy your pregnancy and enjoy the time with your family when your little one gets here
Good luck xxxNemmer Nossage :rotfl: :j

I didn't ask why she didn't live with her parents because she didn't mention them, so it seemed insensitive - they could be very ill, or dead, or have abandoned her like mine did.
If moving back in with her parents was an option, I'm sure she would have considered it...0
