Indeed. As valuable as your reply.

nig3d it doesnt make any differance if you pay online monthly or by dd monthly, its still 6mths ahead and 6mths in arrears so in march you will be paid up til sept 2012 and april onwards will be towards next years.

thanks, but if I cancel the TV license now, does it mean that I can watch the TV until the end of the paid period?

Well, it would be obvious what your reasons are! You don't want a licence because you don't need one! What else is there to say about the matter?

They probably just asked "your reasons" just to make sure that you've understood the legislation.

What a valuable contribution ... well worth joining. Splendid!

Obviously you have zero respect for the forum rules or its members posting spam like that which is less then constructive. Most forums would have given you a warning before now.

Remind me why so many people pay TV tax? :p

it was created to fund the BBC so work it out ;)

To someone who mentioned earlier that the TV Licence doesn't go to other channels, well as of 2015 the licence fee will partly fund S4C.
    .

That is because the Welsh wanted a Welsh speaking channel but refuse to fund it themselves because no one watches it so like other things it will be subsidise by English.

If you pay the BBC you pay for that and the Scottish Equivalent

Waste of time, the BBC doesn't believe anyone until they've checked. The BBC is the only government body that says you are guilty until they say otherway, very 30s Germany like

How much are the Daily Mail and Murdock forcing you to pay them ?

It's a bit difficult to quantify but:

    1. Companies' pay the Daily Mail/The Sun/Sky to have adverts in their publications or breaks in programming.
    2. These companies' factor in to their prices an amount to cover advertising costs.
    3. The consumer (i.e. you) then pays the company's advertising bills.

So I would say any argument that non-state broadcasters aren't "paid for" by us is false.

Can I cancel TV licence then start it up again? Is it worth it for a few months of not living at home?

Yes, I'd tell them you are moving abroad and then any threatening letters after that will be addressed to the Present Occupier. They will send the threats too its what the <s>Gestapo</s> BBC do, the best place for these is in the bathroom.

Another Socialist who tries denying the Socialist History and ideology, doesn't change the FACT though.

Adverts keep costs down as anyone in merchandising will tell you.

When anything new comes out it costs more due to higher costs but comes down afterwards with the help of adverts.

Most intelligent people know this but the BBC posse like to make things up as they go in order to protect their Socialist broadcaster, god forbid you fund it yourselves

    Nothing to do with socialism.

Sorry but this sounds like !!!!!!!! to me. Do you really think that the advertising costs of a product or service are not passed on to the consumer?

The point of advertising isn't to reduce costs but to increase consumption.

Anyone can write on Wiki, even your beloved BBC have been caught out editing it 82,000 times

    http://biased-bbc.blogspot.com/search?q=cia+wiki

The truth is anyone without a BBC TV Licence will be harassed, intimidated and threatened like the SS done for the National Socialist German Workers Party.

So a Socialist writes some rubbish to try and deter people from criticising his ideology.......well thats new, not

No of course not I know it and you now it too but have to find some silly argument to defend forcing people into subsidising Eastender for you
