Hi MfD, should be used to OH being away, it's been his life for around 20 years now. But still makes life harder! But the extra cash will be good and currently no trip is slated for over 3 weeks., when little ones were tiny one trip alone was 9 weeks so should remind myself am getting off lightly.
Ig - like the freedom to pay down debt, with DD being positive but POOH to that salary cut. Absolute carp. Hate it on your behalf
And... Yep. September is the start of the year for me.. Always has been and probably always will be!
Thanks DIA - your support is always appreciated! It's not always easy, but we will get there!

Great new plan Brizzle, I think I will take your lead and write up some goals too.
Good to hear about OH ( I mean the extra work is good- not that he will be away!). How long is the student hosting for? We had one student stay for two years whilst doing A levels. It is hard work, but it got us food on the table for a couple of years
Loved going west, all feels so very flat back in the east.
Cream teas were yum

I love fresh starts whatever time of year. I tend to be a bit random and suddenly take stock and start afresh - whenever I'm in the zone really. I'm a big believer in small changes, keep chipping away.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Great impromptu night last night with friends. Spends this morning on school clothes and shoes and new underwear. Essentials really. I did buy a book...but figure that doesn't really count!!
Bought some foil trays from Wilkos to start bulk cooking as well s meal planning. Have done 2 meat lasagnes already. OH cooking up some jam too so kitchen smells lush.
