    Hi everyone

Thanks for popping by, so sorry have been MIA. Too much going on in RL! and work has been full on too.

So, yes PF, have decided to apply for a new product, partly as in these uncertain times i am thinking if we have a lower monthly payment then if I am not able to work etc, then it's all manageable. Fixed rate even though I think rates will go lower. OH is (rightly) saying that if we move products and extend the term, we need to push the 'excess' into an account so we can still meet our overall goals. I agree, but am veering towards it as it's more flexible. It will also allow me to open some more bank accounts and pick up the incentives for doing so. At the moment our mortgage is tied to having a current account with the same bank. But still time to back out, so will still be pondering, thanks for your help.

Hard to know which direction to go in financially...but think we so need to knuckle down...in for a rocky ride and from a household perspective we are still spending too much.

Invoice day today...will try and do them by lunchtime.

Lodger arrangement looking good. Think we will be hosting students. Will be much more work, but rewards in different ways.

What else....hoping to have bubbles with good friends this eve...we need a plan and some laughter after the last week, and it's a day slated to doing chores to finish off some DIY. I am also thinking about taking up running to go alongside the cycling to the station....haven't done it yet ;) but it's on the agenda

    Ok done...

June analysis: we did superbly on decluttering but sales and NSDs were woeful.

Have reset at similar for July and will now try harder. NSDs will probably be easier as OH will be away working and we are both working a lot so less opportunity to spend. I will also try and get into the loft this and next weekend and declutter.

    Well that's the plan!

Going to hunt around for something to put in the SC for tea now. It's so chilly and I want something warming whilst I watch Wimbledon...... Crazy eh?

    Morning Brizzle.
Bubbles, - good idea...think we all need some bubbles, what a week! Don't think I have ever been tuning into politics so often! Forget about the future of the country, it's like who shot JR all over again, can't wait for the next episode :D

Glad I have a fixed mortgage even if it's not the best rate, hopefully will ride out the big waves.
Glad you got your holiday booked, Need to get my act together and do the same.

Have a lovely Friday - it's sunny here at the moment, and I've finished at school :j and less than a week to go till the end of term:j

Who shot JR??!! :rotfl: now you're showing our age my lovely.. Most of the kids on here wouldn't know the cultural reference :) Aaah those were the days. 3 (4?) channels and no catch up TV :)

You're right of course. We are on one hell of a ride.

Enjoy the sun! V grey here. Chickens laying brilliantly but their run is a mud bath. Poor things

Those were the days - absolutely - My mum wouldn't let me watch it (too much sex  how times have changed - good thing my mum hasn't watched G of T's ;) - I remember all my friends at school were allowed to, and sometimes I couldn't join in with the conversation at break :(

Grass very long again, ground is saturated here too.

And we'd have welcomed her.. Truly a friendly city :D

Grange Hill.. That was 'true life' that was as my kids called it. Pretty tame by all accounts. If she wants to change her mind to UWE or UoB we're here !!

DD1 has done well. Kept the faith, stuck to her guns and beliefs and worked hard, let's hope it pays off in attainment too.

Just been out to lunch with OH.. Lush and a good start to my weekend x

Brizzle - Majorca was 32 degrees and sunny every day except for Thursday morning when it poured with rain - soon cleared up and out came the blazing hot sun again. Warm enough at night to go out in sleeveless dress too.

    Have a fab weekend.
