Thanks jwil.
So today:
-charging phones on trains and in hotels
- panels doing well...peak time of year even when cloudy still hitting some good daily totals
- £2 jar up to £30 :j
- larder looking sparser..good as we need to eat up, rather than simply buying more stock
- 9 days before lodger pays us again...can't wait although money already earmarked
- more irons placed in fire..just now need to follow up. Could do with another day off this week but probably won't happen!
- hoping to get to the allotment this week so we can start growing some more veggies...and I want to stew rhubarb and have a huge supply in the freezer for this (and the crumbles we love) before it all goes to seed.

Hey Brizzle
Sorry to hear you had a wobble, I'm quite sure that it's not all plain sailing even once becoming debt free so the fact you've identified the problem and know what you should be tackling means you'll get there.
And well played on helping out the friend - what is life if we can't do that eh?Debt Oct '13 - [STRIKE]£44,076[/STRIKE] £41,578 5.7% cleared0 -
Hello folks
All good here. Heading back after a draining week but in a positive mood. Have done TTs, charged phones remotely, collected 3x £2 coins but spent £11 on magazines as needed something vacuous to read.. Well not entirely but somewhat! Altho got a new nail varnish with one which will be perfect for my summer pedicures
Planning to take it easy tomorrow- can't wait
Hope everyone is well and ok xMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi folks
Sorry been AWOL, to much going on in RL!
So useful stuff that has happened:
- friend gave me a A+ under work top freezer which should help with freezing meals in advance, storage etc and a few YS items. It's up and working which is great.
- lodger pays rent again in 2 days! Yay!
- panels going pretty well when it's not too cloudy.
- OH got a new bike for DD2.. Via a community project where you trade in the old one and they give you a new one. It helps by skilling up guys who would otherwise be unemployed. We donated £35 too which for a 'new' bike she is thrilled with is excellent.
- expenses back on track which is a relief. Bit hairy for a while!
- savings pots rather denuded and OD loomingwhich I really need to rein in, but we do still have cash for window and 1/3 of money towards holiday. That's after paying for canoe and dishwasher so not all bad. Think another ebay session is needed.. And apart from a haircut, planning to spend nothing this weekend
Laters folks - hope everyone is well

Thanks jwil..how's you? Sorry haven't been about
And another thing I have managed ( see how much easier it is to think of negatives than positives!)
I have built up a fund to cashflow me through the summer whilst I am making the work/lifestyle changes. It's all stashed away in the mortgage OP pot so it's reasonably 'safe' and outside the figs in my signature. I would like to think it's too much and we won't need it all, but hey, have learnt that life throws financial challenges at you and so it's best to be preparedMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Need to get a wiggle on but...
- TTs done..moved a whole tenner!
- phones and tablet fully charged on hotel leccy
- looking forward to a treat of a cheap meal out with my OH this eve and then a much needed catch up with sis at end of the week..spendy but we will just have a main each for dinner and have already paid for trip to see my sister so all good.
- was very tempted to pay for car to be cleaned as it was grim..but did a quick swoop round myself....felt rather virtuous
- larder stocked so apart from milk, fruit and veg no need for any grocery spends
- need to check leaving arrangements with work, including making sure get paid for the annual leave I haven't taken..
Hope everyone has a great day
