Sounds like everything is going well, brizzle! Well done on the lodger - hope she turns out to be a good one.
I know what you mean about the banking app - I get way too excited when I discover new things I can now do with my phone. In fact, one of the girls who works for me says that if my idea of 'fun' is balancing the daily receipts (which it is...!), then I need to get more!! I really do love managing money/numbers - even if it's someone else's!!
Oh how I would love a massage too - very jealous! Are you trying to take them monthly? I had a friend who swore by them every 2 weeks. Sitting here in the sun musing..OH off for a run and girls exploring:)
We had planned to do some activities today but OH checked it out and it would be £40. Now whilst that might be OK we have other plans this weekend and whilst we haven't set a budget for this weekend I know if we go back to just spending whatever we feel like we will be back at square 1. So, we decided not to do it. Few groans but then we all got on with it. I am beginning to realise that we need to make choices..there are lilies along the way..but we have to change our attitude as a family and realise compromise needs to be included. Anyway as long as the activity centre is not booked up we will do something on Monday. Just not today as well.
Weather still glorious. Have shifted the spare change about, love updating my sig these daysMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Great news about the lodger.

HOK3Y - yes think I will try for a monthly massage if I can. Feels such a relief when those tense tight muscles are pummelled into shape!
I also hope lodger works out. After all, it's our home do want them to fit in, feel comfortable etc so everyone is content. After only half an hour with someone you never know, you just have to go on gut instinct. But am sure it'll be fine.
Jwil- thanks. How's you?MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi brizzle,
Sounds like a lovely family break you are having
It is quite cold here today really - i am contemplating the heating  or fingerless gloves
Yes it is all about choices. We have committed to 2 outings 1 costly and 1 still costly but much less so. The good news is i have already been considering every penny i am spending and thinking how to make things stretch in order to help cover the costs and also of course giving things up - so we are going for a good 15 mile walk tomorrow and instead of a meal at the pub at the 2/3rds of the way point i am going to prepare a chilli for tomorrow when we get in and we will have a bowl of chunky chips as our reward instead - so still a treat and will feel like a treat but much less spent
I am also keeping up with the bay of e route to fund these as well - good as it encourages me to part with things so much less clutter here too x
Enjoy the rest of your hols xxCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Good call on the chunky chips!:) yep we have just had ice creams hot chocolate and a beer as our treat. We had a packed lunch too on the side of a good Welsh mountain:) Despite the treats, all much less than a pub meal out.
Have a good weekend DDFW xMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

I'm not doing so well at the moment. As for eBay, it's going well - we've over 50 items listed, admittedly not much of it is worth much money but we're clearing the garage out. Hows your eBay going?2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000
