Yes it's a fab feeling. Couldn't resist updating my sig too...just now...even though its only down by £40 I couldn't bear to wait until Friday..this is becoming an absolute obsession:o

Just 2 more horrible cards to go. Like you pooh, the rental income will make a real difference. Van has disappeared again on its hols..:T

Hoping for a NSD today. The J.U.L.Y challenge is definitely keeping me focussed.

Thanks Little Miss..no I didn't thanks for that. But closer than Street!

Thanks for reading it..I admire your stamina! Just shows you that even with a good income and lots of flickering LBMs you can still be struggling to live within one's income..combination of the L'Oreal slogan and blind optimism I think! I am still up and down on the journey but yes having OH on board is making a HUGE difference..

May be a NSD today..but think we had a grocery delivery from R@verford so probably not. Also need to see if OH went out for lunch..hope not, but you never know. Anyway that's it for potential spends so far and it's nearing home time!!!:T

    Hi all

Extraordinary call for BC asking me to not close my account..I was fairly terse I can tell you! What more can they want but a signed letter??? There was no ambiguity about my request..they gave up talking to me though when I said I didn't have my card number to hand as I had already cut it up!:rotfl:

No word from T@sco though so may need to chase that one.

Spends day yesterday but still well ahead on the budget which is good.:D:D. I am loving the running total caused by having everything including regular scheduled payments like bills plugged into the Moneywhi@@ app. In her diary Mrs T asked me what I planned to do with the balance when I am debt free...think it has to be an all out assault on the mortgage...but thinking about it. A good holiday would be just the ticket actually!:T:rotfl:

So what's in store for this weekend:

    - desperate need of a haircut...hair down to my knees it feels like
    - allotment..I must, I must plant the spinach and chard before this weather breaks. Already late
    - enjoy some time with family, chilling
    - meal plan for next week and carry on running down freezer and larder
    - some work..but not too much!

Love the fact that its not too hectic this weekend. I am looking forward to a few weeks of less travelling! :D That'll be nice. Home or local working for me...seriously helps me and focusses me when I can concentrate in one place for a day

  • Just caught up! Great news that you've got rid of BC....and the cheek of them asking you not to close the account. Good riddence!

And more good news...our gas DD will be reduced by a whole £17 from 1 August..down now to a very respectable £38 pm. Just shows you how the woodburner and being mean with the heating ;) can help reduce costs!

Very pleased..although have just spent £12 Of my forecast windfall (!) on the most wonderful strawberries and Pakistani honey mangoes...they are awesome. Very pleased with my local greengrocers! My absolute favourites. I may have to make sure I gorge the lot and don't share with anyone!:rotfl:
