How to make it cool to achieve at school

Hi OP,

Not sure if your son would know if you are able to afford it or not, but the way I do this with my 12 year old son is to threaten to move him to private school if he does not perform well in comprehensive school. The only reason he is in comprehensive school is because he narrowly missed the entry for private but I threaten that if his grades are not up to scratch and his behaviour becomes bad, I will move him to private. This scares the hell out of him cause apparently goping to private school is not COOL!!!!! so he tells his friends that if he doesnt work he will have to move schools, as neither want this happening he can study he,he,he. Again not sure if yours will know but you can alway pretend even if it is to another school? i even went out and got the form and left them sitting on my dinning table for a few weeks
