Prob a silly question but if you got a promotion code in the last round of holidays and didnt use it can you use it now?

If not does anyone have the email address for the sun to email them and request one? Worth a try since I have been on previous holidays with them. thanks.

  • Since the NOTW closed down there wont be a sunday code again they did used to give you a bonus code in that paper but from what i gather the sun doesnt have any other sister papers they can use to post this bonus code on a sunday which is a shame but never mind

Hi all, has anyone been to Devon Cliffs with Haven or Bunn Holiday Park? We're going with 5 boys  ages 1, 6, 9, 13 and 15. Both look like they have activities to suit, just wanted to know if anyone can vouch for cleanliness, accommodation etc.

Thought i would add I've been twice on a Sun holiday. The first was awful and somewhere in Dorset, didn't make note of the name...

However, we went Oct '11 2 adults, 4 boys to Newquay Parkdean. It was a lovely site, clean, nice views, small children's outdoor play area and outdoor pool (was closed when we went). We upgraded our Caravan and were placed in Willows Way, really quiet, and Caravan was so warm we had to open the windows!
Entertainment was good, really busy each evening. The Arcade was a good size, and the kids got a good go in there with minimal money. We ate in the restaurant a few nights, food was nice, nothing special or bad really. Overall we had a lovely time. We travelled by Train from London, so used the local buses to get around. So long as you have a pocket timetable its fairly easy, £15 for a family day hopper. We managed to visit The Eden Project, Newquay Town (the kids went in the Sea IN OCTOBER!!), Sealife Centre, and Holywell Bay Fun Park. There is an Asda in the Town itself which took around 15mins on the bus to get to, better if you have a car!
Overall as a base its great, maybe in the summer you may get more from the daytime activities, but there are so many nearby attractions its hard to stay put!
  • Hi, has anyone been to Haven Quay West please.:T

Hi, I live in Wales and have only been on sun holidays in Wales.
We have been to Hafan Y Mor, Greenacres and Trecco Bay all 3 a few times and have to say Trecco Bay is the best all rounder due to the location and area etc.
I have tried to go to Minehead a few times but have never been successful. Normally there are 7 of us, 4 adults and 3 children. Do you think we would get a better chance if we did the bookings seperatly (5 and 2)?
Also, has anyone been to any of these...
Haven Presthaven Sands, Haven Doniford Bay, Haven Devon Cliffs and Haven Marten Mare and if so what were they like?

    Thank you

    Hi
I think you'll find that Butlins only accept bookings for 4 max :) as its only the standard accommodation they offer for these hols. We did get it once by changing our no from 5 to 4 then smuggled our 3 yr old in (never again I was paranoid we would be found out and thrown out all weekend!!!)
Been to Devon Cliffs couple of years back. Its quite nice a bit tired in places but nice complex and pool and nice area right by the beach. I would go back again.:)
    Hope that helps.

    Hi Ladygray.

Yes I've been, many a time. It used to be our annual holiday with my parents when we were children and it as become a regular place for me to go with my children now too. We are actually planning on visiting again this year.

There is plenty to see and do there especially for children. They have an indoor and outdoor pool and we have always had lovely caravans when we have stayed there too.

The caravan park is close to some lovely places to visit to, including New Quay where you may be spot a dolphin or two!

You've got me all excited to go again now, I can't wait :D

Hi! I live in Exmouth (Devon Cliffs) - so if you want to know anything about the area I can let you know some good things to do! It is quite a nice holiday park right on the beach with a good pool and a spa. There is a lot to do in the area too.
