Yes, exactly the same problem.

i have emailed via the contact us form on the sun holiday site...http://www.ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk/contactus

i have given them reference numbers for my last holidays and asked for a priority booking ....

but in the last round of hols in sept the same happened, they then emailed me a code and it did not work on the night:mad::mad:

so i am not too hopeful, maybe someone reported me as a defector as i booked a daily mail holiday last year as well !

Short answer YES!!!!!
We did a Sun holiday there last Easter (Southport)- we were upgraded as the window in the bathroom was sealed with wet toilet paper!!! The upgrade wasn't much better - My OH had to leave for work half way through the break and skipped out of the park singing leaving me with 2 kids on my own!
The beach was fantastic though and my son told me it was the best holiday he had ever had!!! poor child! (I think he uses the number of machines in the arcade to grade his holidays though!)

Never again!!! I have beend to many Haven sites over the lasy 14 years and they have all been much better than Pontins!

hi all im thinking of going on a sun holiday but not sure where is nice to go in europe, does anyone have any advice??
needs to be suitable for young children as i have a 2 year old and a four year old!! many thanks in advance... =D
went to devon cliffs last year with the sun and it was brilliant even tho it was out of season. (october) i would really consider going back there if costs are to high to go to europe!!!
i do have 1 problem tho, i havent yet received a priority booking code and beginning to think i wont get one ='( has anyone got 1 going spare?? or does any1 kno if i could double up and use my sisters code?? ive heard u can book 2 holidays with 1 code but not sure!!

When does the online booking site open? I know it says on the site it is open Tuesday 17th January but I'm sure I read somewhere that it opens tomorrow or have I got it totally wrong?!

usually opens the day before, i have a feeling it will b open on Monday tea time ish

Haven Presthaven sands is just next door so has the same stretch of beach and was great when we went to the Haven site in early Sept 2011.. we met a few people staying at Pontins who said the accommodations was horrible..

a friend has just come back from pontins prestatyn - he takes his grandduaghter as her mum died and it was a family tradition. he was aying they are upgradin so site it a rubbish dump. There were only 8 bluecoats and half the activities were canx. There were after 45 pounds extra for xmas meal.
the ice rink has long gone and so too the pgl bits. I think only the swim pool was left and even then you had peps showering in their to reduce leccy charges. it's a shame as this is a nice site as so close to beach etc and so much could be done.

I remember rock gate very clearly. I've got my priority form, week off is booked so fingers crossed can get one of my choices for that week. Any recommendations for Cornwall, we have done Devon and Dorset and fancy a bit further west this time.
I am at work on the Monday when site is likely to open but will be able to join in from 6 if the code hasnt been cracked by then!
