I agree with bakerfa, the blisters have nothing to do with the sizing, it is just because the sassaris 'fit' rather than the other styles that sort of just sit there and barely touch the foot.

I always get blisters with shoes, and I wear heels up to 4 inches routinely for work, and I find after a day or so they usually just stop rubbing.

  • Sorry if this has been answered a million times but I'm just in from work and skipped to the last page!

My OH bought me a pair of crocs in Feb for my birthday and I have worn them every day from 8am until bedtime (midnight-ish) without fail. I'm a busy mum and work evenings and have to say they are unbelievably comfortable.

My whole family now have a pair - boy do we look a bit silly? but who cares LOL! - anyway, I have to say that we couldn't get a pair locally to fit DS so bought him a copy pair - Sketchers - and they simply don't cut it. He's had them since the start of the Easter holidays and the sole has worn down flat.

I also noticed when we were canoeing this weekend and jumping in and out of the boat, that our shoes and feet were dry in minutes, however Louis didn't have the extra holes along the bottom and his shoes were still wet about 20 mins later - not good!

I firmly believe that you only get what you pay for and now we are searching out a proper pair for DS. Not very MS I have to say.

I bought a pair of crocs while I was in the states working at a summer camp in New Jersey last summer. Great buy. I was hillwalking in them, backpacking, canoeing, and generally just about camp. My feet never sweated all day, cos of the holes, and the water just ran out of them.

I got the 'AVP' version, black and yellow, look ace.

Found this post on the Disboards this morning about how to stretch your Crocs :)

since the crocslite material softens with heat (hence the molding to your foot the more you wear them), you can stick them in the dryer briefly (a few minutes) to soften, then you stretch them out with your sock-clad foot, or pull on the strap. Let it cool on your foot or whatever and you should be good to go. I'm thinking that it also shrinks them, because I botched up the stretching process with my Primas (put them in the dryer then walked around in them, thereby flattening it out and losing all shape in the shoe) so I threw it back in the dryer to regain it's original shape. They are tighter now, so I tried to stretch out the toe area with a hairdryer. Seems to be working, but I have to do it again.

Did anyone else find Caymans HUGE when you first put them on???

I know your feet aren't supposed to touch any sides but I've just been into a shop and tried some on (in anticipation of receiving mine from Taylors) but they feel like I'm wearing clown shoes and that I might trip over them!

Will I get used to them?

I felt they were huge also when I first started wearing them, but I always prefered loose shoes, flip flops etc. I have gotten so used to them that I hate wearing 'proper' shoes in the morning to go to work.

The primas take more getting used to as they are like 'normal' shoes and a lot neater on your feet. Got sweaty feet with them too !!!

Can I ask what size primas you have and what size normal shoes you take? I really want a pair of primas, but am worried that I might "walk out" of them if I get a pair which are too big.

    Thanks

The stupid squelching noise from my Mary Janes was really irritating me today, walking around town, not to mention the looks I got lol Dont think I would risk the Sassaris for that reason, but will get some Athens I think.
