Miffy
I used to live in Holland when my (ex)H worked over there. The neighbours' children used to lend me their 'Miffy' books to try to learn Dutch. Your avatar brought back some happy memories!
Blowing a gale here too. Just had a tremendous downpour as well. I need to go and check on my chickens and make sure they haven't blown over to next door!
Is this sad? I'm sat here, very excitedly, in my kitchen awaiting delivery of not one, but TWO under-the-counter freezers, bought in the sales!!! My large chest freezer which lived in the garage went bang just before Christmas. I hated walking down the garden in the dark to get stuff out. So, I have made space in the kitchen for these two new babies. I can't wait to get to MrT's to load up on YS items.
See, I just knew you would all understand!

Morning everyone.
Like most of you its raining heavily, dark and blowing gale  glad H doesn't have to be in work all week, don't fancy his chances on a motorbike in this weather
No idea what our plans are, kids not back at school til Thursday so will probably just hunker down in the house. it must be bad out there as the killer cat heads out and then minutes later comes rushing back through the cat flap :rotfl:
Glad i did a bit of gardening yesterday as the rest of the week appears to be a write off weather wise
Not sure whats for tea, still in process of revising meal plans
hugs and spoons all round. Stay safe out there xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all,
Kid's went back to school this morning, in the pitch black. I'm wishing January away cos February seems to make a little difference to the darkness. DD1 returned back to uni last night, she didn;t want to go but she has a little break in Feb when her placement finishes. DS1 should be returning today so that means i can crack on with the decorating then. Today will be a tidying of oddments day, already put SC on with a chili.
Forever saving, bless, i have a friend who's son suffers.
Julie G, not long now

Welcome Catmom.
JulieG: If you could see the state of my oven you wouldn't even bother asking. BUT if I lived nearer and the sea wasn't looking so much like a tempest was blowing, I'd be up the Solent and on my knees with the Brillo Pads in front of your oven in two shakes of a lambs tail. Morning everyone.
Well i have had a reasonably productive day, although I did have a lie in, the first time in probably 6 months that I have slept past 7.30 :j
I have done the washing, done a quick whiz around the house, thrown all my recycling stuff away, finally made a start on my university stuff :j:j:j This is the biggest achievement as ive been putting off starting for ages. :T:T And finally, sorted out my wifi. Somehow I lost my password, and my ex boyfriend had set it up for me. Him being the bright spark that he is, never bothered to right the password down, and now has no idea what it is. But I have sorted it:T
This evening I plan on just watching Downton Abbey and chilling out.
Forever Saving - you must be so proud of your daughter. I am like that, I would never admit to my sisters that I love them, but if anyone else dare say anything bad about them i would give them a peice of my mind
catmom, welcome to the thread0 -
Morning Ladies, Wet and very windy here today, no washing on the line here today. People at the back of us 's fence has come down again, could hear it blowing and banging all night:mad:, They had 'cowboys' in to repair it last time it came down , knew it wouldn't last.;)
The past few eventful months have taken its toll on my body, feel like I'm falling apart, everything hurts, struggling at the moment badly.:( Meds ain't really doing anything either.Know I should take it easy rather than trying to be helper to everyone , when will I learn that I AM NOT SUPERWOMAN, and am never likely to be her either.;)
Enough of my moaning, ladies how are you all? Keeping well I hope , not much will be happening here today I fear. Jackets for tea, or could poss be chilli , not made my mind up yet.
Have had to phone the orthodontist and cancel ds4 appointment for thurs as he is still unwell, doubt he will be back to school tomorrow, Dd went back today, not a happy bunny, she doesnt think its fair that she had to go back when the boys are still snoozing in their beds :rotfl::rotfl: She got a lift with her friends dad this morning as he isnt back at work till monday, will be public transport for both of them after that , no door to door taxi service;);)

Hi everyone
Been up since the crack of dawn today but cant seem to get myself going.Had WM on twice and hung the washing on the driers, no TD for me at the moment - its housing potatoes and onions at the moment:rotfl:
Staynig in today so its a NSD and eating LO's again, but will have to go out tomorrow for supplies. The wind here is rough and things have blown round the garden but the bin men came earlier so feel better about getting rid of the rubbish, cant wait for next week when the recycling men come to collect everything else.
Been thinking about my front garden which is behind a hedge. I never use it only mow the lawn - its not that big - but I was thinking of digging the grass up and growing some veg on it, the back garden is the place where I sit in summer, so I could make a few raised beds (easier on my back) and eat the produce, I have a small veg patch in the back and would like to grow more but I dont want to lose anymore of the back garden. I reckon thats the way forwards:cool:
Anyway better start my bit of cleaning, have a couple of days off work so want to get it done so tomorrow I can go out:o
