Glass in Meal - Pizza Express

Just been out with hubby on the new year pizza for £2.12 deal - hubby found a bit of glass in his pizza - manager said their kitchens are glass free so couldn't have got in it there! There did take the cost of his pizza off the meal but considering we had a voucher anyway....not impressed at all!

Clearly not, they are complaining about getting given a pizza with glass in it.
Can't you read the original post?0 -
The manager should have taken the sample and sent it back to head office os supplier.
WHile their kitchen may be glass free and their suppliers are most likely to be glass free with in reason. Over the millions of meals made etc.
It only takes one glass fly killer to break and one bit of glass missed and get into food.0 -
Can I ask what pizza he had?
I do not think they use tinned salmon?0 -

Yes, and the restaurant rectified the situation by offering a free pizza, which the OP accepted.

Well happy days apart from I only ate half my pizza as we both felt pretty shocked afterwards and kinda lost our appetites, OH only ate half his and we had a voucher meaning OH's pizza would have only been £2.12 anyway! Oh and the manager pretty much implied we were lying by saying the kitchen was glass free.
Apart from that yeah happy days indeed.People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

They did not completely rectify the situation. They just said it was not there fault.
THe Op may have lost confidence in the pizza hut now as the manger just fobbed him off with a excuse and some thing he can not be 100% sure of. After all one of his staff could have tampered with his food (thats unlikely).
It would have been better if he asked for his name and address and they would get back to them after they have investigated. Which they should do even if the op is not fussed.0 -
I would report it to an Environmental Health Officer.0
