You know, this is going to have me branded as the forum scrote, but I don't really understand this one.OH was in the toilets in supermarket, sees a bloke come in, have a wee then walks straight out without washing his hands. Goes straight to the cafe and picks up a tray and goes in the queue to buy food
I have a shower every morning, and I wee from the end, not the sides. I don't sweat down there. I tend to agree with the old saying that "it's the cleanest part of your body".
That said, I wash my hands in public restrooms as people would frown upon it otherwise. But I tend to think it's more of a social norm than anything, at least for men.Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”

Blimey there's a lot of silliness and paranoia about 'germs' on this thread, we'll end up like the US if we're not careful!
The world is crawling with bacteria, as are all of us, there's really no need to indulge in ridiculous behaviour like opening doors with paper towels, that just makes you look a bit nutty!
Wash your hands when they're dirty, cook food properly, cover your mouth/nose when you cough/sneeze. Unless you're severely immuno-compromised that'll do.
Too much anti-bacterial product where it isn't needed just contributes to resistance developing. The gels and handwashes some of you are so obsessive about aren't killing very many of the bugs you're colonised by.0 -

I am fanatical about washing my hands under hot water in the sink. I won't empty the bins without washing my hands, won't go to loo, if I have to shake hands with someone whose hands leave much to be desired I wash my hands.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

I do wash my hands after going to the toilet and am annoyed when there's no hot water or soap. I don't get fanatic about it thoughLost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

That's what my OH says. He says it's clean and he manages not to get pee on it.
I still have a go at him if he doesn't wash his hands though.
I'm not a man so I don't know, but is there no chance of any drops getting flung up when you shake it?
I wash my hands loads during the day, and not just after going to the toilet. I especially hate the thought of cross contamination when i'm working with food.0 -

More likely is it splattering on your trousers if you aim forward rather than down.
Oh, the joy of discussing urination on a public forum. :P
As with you, I wash my hands a ridiculous amount though - I hate the feeling of having any residue of any sort on my hands. I probably wash my hands 10 times in an average day - especially if I'm interacting with computers or other sorts of plastic surfaces, for some reason I tend to get sweaty fingertips/palms.Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”

I do wash but unlike some, my parents taught me how to go to the toilet without pi55ing all over my hands or all over the toilet bowl.0
