OH was in the toilets in supermarket, sees a bloke come in, have a wee then walks straight out without washing his hands. Goes straight to the cafe and picks up a tray and goes in the queue to buy food. No wonder there are so many bugs about. I feel I have to carry handwash gel to compensate for the dirty mingers who behave like this!
I'm sure most people wash their hands after going in the toilets..... don't they?

YES! Always. Was in Chiquitos for dinner the other week though and I was washing my hands, a girl waltzed out of one of the cubicles started fixing hair, make up and then out the door, but didn't wash her hands :eek:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Three male programmers at a computer conference were in the bathroom standing at the urinals. The first programmer finishes, walks over to the sink to wash his hands. He then proceeds to dry his hands very carefully. He uses paper towel after paper towel and ensures that every single spot of water on his hands is dried. Turning to the other two, he says, "At Microsoft, we are trained to be extremely thorough."
The second programmer finishes his task at the urinal and he proceeds to wash his hands. He uses a single paper towel and makes sure that he dries his hands using every available portion of the paper towel. He turns and says, "At Apple, not only are we trained to be extremely thorough but we are also trained to be extremely efficient."
The third programmer finished and walks straight for the door, shouting over his shoulder, "At Google, we don't !!!! on our hands."0

I'm sure girls do. I've certainly never even considered going without (and I actually get quite upset when nothing is provided at some outdoor venues)... but there does seem to be a big group of men who don't see the need Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

Ah, but was she actually going to the toilet in there? I often visit public loos to get a bit of tissue or even have a little cry (knickers on!)... I do get quite paranoid that someone will judge me for coming out and leaving again :rotfl:Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

Maybe not I still felt a bit icky though, have done the crying myself before though and still came out and washed my hands, I guess it's just force of habit for me. OH tells me loads of stories about public toilets and men not washing there hands, makes me feel a bit sick. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I do, but see lots of women in public loos who don't.
It makes me cringe to think of how covered in unspeakables the door out of the loos must be.
And then there's terrible design. One of the loos in a Croydon had the hot air dryers directly above the open bins. So all day long, you had hot air blowing directly into the bins, and women drying their hands with the hot air blowing onto their hands, and the rebound air blowing from the bin contents below. Clever.0

it is for precisly this reason that i never open doors with my hands - always use sleeves or carrier bag .. anything to avoid where dirty people touch
I have seen so many people where i work come out the loos dn't wash hnads and then go straight and eat a sandwich ..yuck !!!!0

At a local coffee shop one of the kitchen assistants used to loo and then came out without washing her hands - disgusting!
Also was at a sports centre where there was a dog show on in the next hall. I saw someone grooming a dog (intimately as well) and then go and get a bacon buttie without washing her hands - double disgusting.
I think the key is to always wash your hands after using the loo, after coughing/sneezing, when coming in after visiting a place with lots of footfall eg a supermarket, doctors surgery etc and before eating. There's no need to go all OCD as we need a small amount of bacteria to build up a resistance. The Cabbage

I am expert at opening doors with my sleeves or little finger etc. My sister worked in a market and was using the toilets and saw a lady she knew worked in the cafe come out without washing her hands and then went straight back to the cafe to work. Bleugh!!!
To me, leaving without washing my hands would feel like driving without my seatbelt on. (Though probably not quite as dangerous!)0
