:j:j:j:j greenhouse ordered, £27 cashback tracked :j:j:j:j workmen starting Thursday/Friday so all to ahead.

Laid out the hose on the lawn to try to work out where to put it. A bit large but having the base 50cm wider and longer.

Called in sick today never something I normally do but today I just wasn't up for it. Hope a good night sleep will help.

  • Hi TG, I've been lurking and so pleased to hear you've ordered the greenhouse. I've always wanted one, so look forward to seeing how it all works out.

Forgot to add I spoke to first direct today to get my account set up. How lovely that a person answers straight away no press this press that in put your number then repeat.

Went through everything and opened my 8% regular saver. Problem is its started now so I have an even larger shortfall now. Still I haven't seen an ISA I really want yet and might not go with a fixed one for 2013 as the rates are so low. Surely they can't continue to drop.

Actually the above was really handy it's being withdrawn from the 1st Feb how gutted would I have been if I hadn't opened it yesterday. The lady didn't say I should hurry up but she did suggest I used the overdraft on the new account and then transferred the money over. Glad I did.

Moved some bulbs and plants ready for the slab base to go down Thursday. Also need to phone Greenthumb to ask if they can postpone the stuff they are doing on Wednesday it will just make the garden so muddy.

Batched cooked 10 portions of cottage pie (giving some to FIL) and done bacon twists aka Lorraine Pascale done with black Forrest ham instead of bacon hopefully nice if not better than bacon.

FIL will be down in 30 min need to make the bed had a cat throw up on it lovely lovely.

Sorted all my seeds out don't need to buy any but will buy a pepper plant and a tomato plant. Was going to sow some parsley but will wait its so messy and all tidy just now.

Been out most of the day and felt a bit tired and my backache so missed Zumba turned out it was cancelled so ok about that now.

Done some more calculations so see if I can achieve my goals for the April and pay for greenhouse and work being done.

Ordered another blueberry plant today got two from Lidl last year but really wanted 3 so got one from Thompson and Morgan last day for free delivery and only got 1 plant £16.99 in total. 12% cashback too.

Thanks Catshark I will post pictures tomorrow when they have started might be more of a mess by that time though then progress. Still waiting for greenhouse people to confirm exactly what shelves they are going to supply but hopefully should know soon.

Payday tomorrow so can get a better picture of where I am plus need to wait for normal credit card to update after dd payment as its not clear what is outstanding.

Got 3 visits in Dorset today, can also go to South African shop that will please DH.

His blood results were bad when we saw the doctor oni Monday so he is now taking it more serous about cutting down. Got first meeting on Friday about sale of business.

Been so windy last night the covers have blown off my wrapped up garden furniture mind you I did take off the blue string to measure out the garden. Must sort that out when I get back.

Busy few days to be honest, Friday we had the meeting with the chap who might buy DH's company he is the BIL of our old neighbors and they were close friends once. It went well and if we can agree a price he is happy to go ahead and employ DH for 5 years.

Then we had my friend and neighbour over for a last supper before she goes home to her mum for 3 weeks and then off to Oman to join her husband. In the end she didn't leave until this morning so sad to say goodbye but she is back in May and August. I will miss her so so much she is a really good friend. She said i could take her rhubarb which I will before her tenants move in.

Then Saturday evening my other friend with the ancient boyfriend came over for dinner and stayed until this morning. They are both quite handy with a tool box and will put my greenhouse together for me for free. They dont think I need to ask the builders to secure the frame to be base they would rather do it loose then secure it.

Also got a quote to fix the post and fit the side gate which is £65 a lot but it needs doing as I want a gate that works and doesnt get smashed to pieces by the wind.

Since friends left i have been to a garden centre to have a look at pots and most things where 50% off but I resisted I really want self watering things in plastic now. I did see a couple of things to cook pancakes on the firepit in the garden so got those £10.50 again 1/2 price.

Then baked a loaf of bread which was really nice using a packet of bread mix. Will do that again so east with the foodprocessor.

My back aches badly but I dont feel like going to the gym, got my sports massage booked for a couple of weeks time so will have to wait.

DH booked in for free eye test I am sure he needs bifocals but he doesnt think so. He has not had an eye test for more than 5 years so glad I booked him in.

Here is a picture of the garden as it is now very muddy but ready for the green house.

Monday morning and I got a call this morning at 8am to say my greenhouse is being delivered on Wednesday that is just so cool. Friend has just confirmed they will help fit it next weekend (cue lots of dancing :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j).

Off to the West Country this week, need a hotel for Wednesday night in Torquay problem being the one I really want is on Hotels.com for £61 but if you go via Quidco its £74 (still from Hotels.com). I cannot really justify my work paying £13 more just so I can get £9 cash back can I? I will get my 1 more night towards my free night so that is not a problem. Need to book today but might leave it a bit.
