How cool is this free wifi on board the plane to Denmark, love it.

Weird... I'm just booking some flights for work at the moment and read your post about flying!

Weird indeed make sure you check for cachback before you book, every penny count.

27 min left according to the web thingy going to be 20 min later but texted my mum to tell her ( before I got on the plane.) Guess I could email her.

Just checked and my ISA is showing online with £1 in it cannot wait to fill it up.

Of course I should have known.

Just done the MS write up and done some banking on the iPad. ISA filled for this year and paid DH for tickets plus rest in savings :j:j:j:j

So all set now for the savings challenge.

First a day with my mum just the two of us a MS for her (I get the goods we buy) and then some lunch.

Lovely and sunny might go and sit outside and do my nails with my new nail varnish.

Hope you are all having a nice day too.

Thanks for the tip though... I might have forgotten to go via Quidco if they hadn't just emailed me a tracking receipt!

Well that was a busy week and a half. The Danish trip was lovely spend time with mum got almost a day with the kids at my sisters place and there after the party. It was strange seeing everyone again there was 45. 7 of my dads generation whom I all knew ofcourse and 22 direct cousins who I certainly didn't all know. Travelled back Sunday and straight off to London Monday all day then a conference in Devon for three days and then stayed home Friday nursing a hangover. I swear I only had 5 spritzer all night with dinner but I felt so so bad I am never drinking wine again.

Sorted DHs birthday party out looks like we will be 14 even my mum is coming. A mini bus is £240 so that's better than hotels etc. I have got this invites out and booked the dog racing plus meal just need to do the bus.

Yesterday was an odd day as our old neighbours and very good friends whom we don't see often popped in as they were in the area. He works for IBM and has just taken redundancy it's ok because he can spend more time with their young son and she is in the army so they have very cheap accommodation plus they sold their house at the peak in 2007.

She has a year left but has got a job with the Australien army so they are off to Brisbane next October. Wow what news makes perfect sense and they almost went to Newzealand a few years ago where she has family.

Second bit of news yesterday was very strange. My friend from Cornwall has finally been down so see her dad (remember I have just been to see him). She texted me so say I need to speak to you before you speak to my dad. Strange I thought until her dad rang Friday. I tried not so say anything and I could feel he wanted to talk. She told me her news she is getting married which is lovely but she has only been with the guy less than a year (they have known each other for 12) and don't live together. He is nice but he is 30 years older than her.

Right money update got a load of expenses to claim and waiting for some wins (yes I have gambled again but not lost any money).

My mum wanted some tops from the UK Quidco is doing 10% plus she let me have the £ 5 off so that's a nice little earner and she will pay the money into my Danish account.

Gymwise I have just not been. Today I ought to do Zumba in 30 min but I fell down the stairs yesterday (just as the door opened to our friends) so I am quite sore. Seeing Darren on Weds but I am away tomorrow night so will definitely do Tues. going to get him to do me plan so I can loose weight before the 12 th Dec. Going out for Sunday lunch and seeing FIL and I have made my first pavalova so that doesnt help.

Right enough waffle from me waiting for the Sunday papers to arrive.

Aching from gym to days in a row but Darren is going to help me loose weight my first task is to eat dinner at 5pm (I dont think I can do that but I am trying for 6.30 no later than 7pm). Also no more than 30g of carbs in the evening that is going ok except I looked up the vegetables I really like and they are quite full of carbs (peas, parsnip, beetroot) going to cook some roast vegetables incl sweetpotato to have with steak. Also signed up with Able&Cole to get a weekly fruit and vey box. Its £12.99 incl deliver and you can pick and choose if there is something you don't like dont need right but to Tuesday evening. My problem is that DH will not really eat veg so this way I get them and I have to cook them plus they come with receipe cards each week which should help. Might not be the cheapest way of doing it but the box is for 1 to 2 people so the portions should be small and I shouldnt waste anything.

    Really want one of these:

I think it would look lovely on my patio (might have to move the box or the planters somewhere else). I could grow cucumbers and keep my seedlings in there away from the patio doors inside.

Its £179 (£20 off) will keep looking but so tempted.

Got the clothes off to my mum and Quidco tracked so that should be a nice payout. Got my £17 back from Groupon as the retailer said they could not fit me in so will have 12 month to spend that which I am sure I can. Offer ended 23.9.12 and I spoke to them on the 18th but because they can only do Groupon on a Tuesday I missed out. Partly my fault I agree but why have an end date of 23.9 then also they are open 6 days a week so could have fitted me in after the 23.9 if they really wanted to. Told them I would never use them again.

Another small rant, just as we were eating last night at the dinner table. Phone goes, its a carpet cleaning company. DH says we have no carpets, she carries on, he then says I am not listening and then puts the phone down. She then calls back to say he was rude and she slams the phone down. I am sure its the ones I have spoken to before and told them yes I do need my two settees cleaned but they insist on coming out to give a quote first and that sounds odd to me. Surely its a set price so.

Anyway enough ranting Friday, just been to the doctors with DH to get his blood test done ready for the next doctor appointment on the 3.10.

Finally not touch alcohol since 12th September and really do not miss it.

  • Great to hear you're embracing the gym... two days in a row is good. I really enjoy going to the gym or doing a gym class. I just feel so happy and energetic afterwards. Sometimes it's a struggle to make myself go when I'm tired or if I have lots I could be doing at home but afterwards I'm always glad I went. Keep it up!

Fab a fellow gym goer which classes do you like I love Zumba and Pump but did contemplate Circuits but not sure I am fit enough.

Just got a fab deal on my nephews birthday present. I wanted the old Mario Kart Game for him and it was £27.99 new with the wheel and £19.99 used. Game was out of stock but they do stock alert so got an email just now. Managed to get it and to my amazement but old reward card was still valid so I got £2.25 off. I thought that had gone when they went under. Every little helps as they say. :money::money::money:Also the wheel can be for Christmas as I have plenty for him for his brithday. More savings.

Just done my cash expenses only £64 so not a lot thought it was more. Still got tons of work to do but may have to go and post those expenses letters as there are 3 weeks worth and they have to be done weekly.

Got a code for 50% off the Bodyshop but they want to charge me postage eventhough its over £30 so refuse to buy anything. Dont really need anything anyway.
