I'm glad you are goingto make time to sit and chill this evening New Road. What are you reading at the moment, anything good ?
Funny you should mention sitting in the garden, its just what I was threatening to do today with my book, but it didnt quite happen that way !

Sorry you havent seen your BF for ages and ages, its horrible isnt it ? Mr Pinot used to go away for months and months on end, still does sometimes . I really do hope you get to see him soon.

I eventually put my SOA up on my diary, I was on a DMP by then too ,but I jsut used those figures. It was still interesting to look at. Its the snowball calculator I have never managed to do, I think it blew up by the time I had finished enterting all of my figures !!!:rotfl:

I hope you have a lovely evening x xx

Ok so what have I been up to today, (besides spending too much time on MSE as usual):o

I woke up after a reasonable nights sleep all full of promise(knew it was too good to be true) and delighted that my daffodils have started to bloom:j
When I spoke to work last week I said that I would help out with a job that I normally do as no-one else knows how, so the plan was to get that done early.
When I was first ill I did another job for the same reason. Anyway long story short had an email about first job I did to say there was a problem, after spending 3...yes 3 hours looking at it it turn out that further postings had been done since I had submitted the job and that's why it didn't balance, and needless to say I was too stressed and tired to do the job I wanted to in the first place......:mad::mad:.

And just to cap it all off for some reason I thought i would "tidy" my subscribed threads folder this afternoon and ended up deleting them all so had to spend some time locating and resubscribing:mad::mad:

Anyway rant over , and I know people will say that I shouldn't do it in the first place but trust me it would cause me more grief to spend 2 hours explaining it on the phone to others.

However this afternoon has been a little better, I have baked a chocolate Victoria sandwich and made some flapjacks and they all turned out ok (no burnt bits ), which is all good as I have a friend coming to visit me tomorrow:j:j

Still need to tidy the dining room and make sure the bathroom is spotless for tomorrow but will get up early in the morning

Having gammon and Jacket potatoes tonight and after today's events think I will need a relaxing bath ( I wonder if there is any wine in the house:p:p

Right off to tidy the kitchen no doubt back later to do some surveys and catch up on the diaries.

  • I'm not going to give you a lecture on doing a job that you shouldn't have done because we've all been there, done that and have the t-shirt to prove it. :rotfl: Just try to make sure that it doesn't happen again / too often. Maybe when you return to work you could show someone else how to do it (as a backup) that way, if you're away again they won't need to ask you???

Don't you just hate it when that happens? Well done on resubscribing to them all.

Gammon sounds lovely. Unfortunately they don't seem to sell it in NZ :(

Well my friend came to visit this morning and I have to say it was lovely to see them. They enjoyed the cake I had baked which I was pleased about, I'm never sure until someone actually tastes things whether they really are ok.:p

Have been catching up on diaries since they left and decided I really should post a SOA, but one with figure reflecting my DMP so will look into posting that later.

Still need to do one more small job for work which I hope to complete tonight and then switch off until my return to work.

It feels a bit chillier here today but have put a cardigan on rather than the heating (unlike STBEOH who would have it at 24 degrees if he was here.)

Right off to think about dinner back later

OK so I haven't got round to SOA partly because I have been looking on ebay!!! Not to buy ( oh ye of little faith:naughty:) but because when my friend cam to visit, they showed how I can sell items. So my next big thing is to use Ebay.

Probably a bit sad that I am one of the few MSE' people who dont know how to sell on ebay but here's to learning.:)

So plans for tomorrow keep up with the washing and ironing, check the bank balance, log into work to make sure that what I did today has been picked up oh and have some ME time.

And yes sort out my SOA:doh:

    Night Night

  • Selling on Ebay is easy, if a little time consuming. When I first started out I used to check similar items to check what they were selling at, so I didn't over price things. I'm always amazed at what people will buy and how much they'll pay. :D Have fun.

I haven't done a SOA but that's because I'm in NZ. I'm sure you'll feel much better once you have done yours though.

    Morning,

It sounds as though you had a lovely day with your friend and I'm glad she enjoyed the cake you baked !

Must confess you are not alone with never actually selling on ebay. We have sold a few bits, but I get Mr Pinot to do all of the donkey work, photos descriptions etc. Its not that I cant do it, but its soo time consuming and I tend to wander off half way through typing up a listing , then never go back to it.:o My spare room is totally full of things I am pretty sure I could sell but I think I need to set aside a couple of days totally uninterrupted to actually list everything !

I wont tell you off for doing the work, as Mrs Fluffy says, weve all been there and are very guilty of it. I remember doing the same two days after I gave birth to DD1, as noone else seemed to be able to do the job. My old boss always did tell me to delegate more, but I never have managed to learn how to do that ! Dont go doing too much though , you are supposed to be resting up !

Good luck on sorting the SOA if you get around to it !!:)

Thanks Box of Fluffies . I know my friend kept saying its best to research what other people have sold and see if they have good descriptions etc and the price. As they say one mans rubbish is another mans prize:p

The SOA mmmm yes I will get round to it, will definitely be here by the weekend.;)
