Basically I have been looking to buy a memory foam mattress to replace my old mattress and after searching the net for hours came accross this which seems unbeatable in value. The reviews also seem very favourable too.

After looking at this one, am I right in assuming that this is a sprung mattress with a memory foam topping?NotSuchASmugMarriedNow wrote: »I just ordered this one

am MEGA excited
And is this one is all memory foam (i.e. no springs)?
I'm confused - which one is better?? Sprung with memory foam topping, or all memory foam? :undecided Anyone got any advice?0 -
I used to have lots of back problems until I got a 3" memory foam topper nearly five years ago. Sadly I think my current topper is wearing out as my back problems are becoming more frequent again, so have been looking for a memory foam mattress (instead of the topper which moves around on the normal mattress).
Thanks to the OP for posting this one:T, but noticed another similar one on Amazon which I might buy instead. Slightly less density I think (75kg/m3) but £20 less with delivery and two memory foam pillows, Total=£129.99. Good reviews as well.
If anyone is interested:

Hi booter, I think you will find that they have 5cm of memory foam, and the rest (15cm) underneath is a normal type of foam, without springs.0 -
no springs in the mattress I posted a link too
Have just had a horrible thought though - what am I gonna do with my old mattress - it is much to heavy for me to carry even if I could fit it in my little focus.
oh !!!!!!:(Overactively underachieving for almost half a century0 -
from the tech info on the amazon links:
the one the OP posted:
5cm Memory Foam - 20cm thickness in total
Firm Comfort - Orthopedic mattress (for a soft/regular version of this mattress, please visit our storefront)
kingsize one for 149.97
Depth: 8 inch/20cm - Total Memory Foam Depth: 2 inch/ 5cm Visco on Reflex Support Base Foam - Silent, no springs
Hypnia Firmness Rating: Medium 5.5 - Foam Guarantee: 10 year manufacturer
Mattress Type: Non-turn Hypoallergenic - Includes Free CoolSoft Removable/Washable Cover, Free Delivery, and Pair of Memory Foam Contoured Pillows
So:
both have 5cm "memory" and 15cm "base". First one is memory foam which is more like sponge and the second one uses visco elastic. First one is much firmer and on an orthopedic base, the second one is softer and perhaps more designed for comfort compared to the first which is more designed for sleep problems. The first one comes courtesy of sleepingsolutions.co.uk and their prices seem much higher than amazon so i think it could be a very good quality bargain.
Neither will be able to be turned over, just top to bottom and the 2nd one definitely has no springs, i very much doubt the 1st one will but if it does you wont notice it at all. Both seem like very good bargains. 1st one has 5yr g'tee,2nd one has 10yr
edit: The king size one is from hypniamemoryfoam.com and if you buy the luxury kingsize one direct from their website it will cost you a whopping £469!!!! so 149.97 is a HUGE bargain, the first one is also very good value, probably 30-50% compared to buying direct from the main website
from their website:
Brand: Hypnia
Size: King Size 5ft x 6ft6" / 150cm x 200cm
Total Depth: 10 inch / 25cm
Memory Foam Layer: 3 inch / 7.5cm
Density: 75kg m3
Comfort Rating: Medium-Firm
Cover: CoolSoft Breathable
Guarantee: 10 Year
Only £469
Order now and we will include a FREE pair of memory foam pillows worth £69.99!
seems to have a bit deeper memory+base (5cm deeper total) but £469 compared to £149 on amazon !0 -
Hi
Can you post the link to the king size one you found please? As i am finding it at £155 + £10 delivery.
Thanks
Hi here is the kingsize one I ordered for £149.97 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001AXQ4T2:hello: “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away” anon.0 -

I really can't resist to get one, considering you are basically getting a specially made mattress and memory foam topper in one. You can pay £100 just for a quality topper, so getting this + 2 free pillows i've gotta buy. I'm using a cheap £80 Ikea spring mattress and have decided to go for the Hypnia Double version of the one posted above. The king size is £149 and the double i'm getting is £129.99, amazing really to get free delivery AND 2 free pillows.
If you search amazon for Hypnia visco memory foam mattress they have a really nice range, 8"/10"/12" options dbl+king size, so many options available to suit.
The one i posted above that is £469 on the Hypnia website (10") is available on amazon, showing down from £430 to £175
so really an amazing bargain i think, huge thanks to the OP and other poster of the Hypnia link.0 -
They even sell one with only 1cm memory foam!
I thought 7cm was the recommended mf depth?0
