Hi Angelettes,

Sorry I've not posted, things have been a little difficult. We lost our beloved little Pumpkin on Tuesday - now gone to join Mum, Dad & the other furballs at Rainbow Bridge ... sweet dreams poppet, we will miss you

The other Furballs need some concentrated time as they are very agitated & restless with the loss. It's very strange for all of us - they've got very clingy and keep looking for the pumpkin round the house & every time I come back from being out. It will take time for us all to adjust.

Had Mr GA's scans yesterday, what a faff!! Results wont be through for a week or so, and will be sent to the GP / Consultant - who will then talk it over with us ... so back to wait & see mode :undecided

Other than that, the job is going well so far - hoping I'll get a bit more involved with things next week - this week was more about orientation & settling in

Also did a M/Shop & I've just had a load of Audits allocated to me, some for over the weekend & early next week ... thankfully I'll be able to fit them in even with my current "normal" work hours.

Not managed any more listing either on the Bay or via the other options ... might leave them now till next week when things have settled down. :undecided

Finally - one item from activity list is done, I've contacted the Temp Agencies to remove me from their active lists until further notice.

Things have been a little sizeways recently - its taking time to acclimatize to not having the pumpkin around, keep expecting her to greet me when I get in, pester me for morning treats or come for her snuggle - It all feels very strange

Extra money wise - Adding £7.70 to add from an ebay sale - bit gutted as it should have been a nice round tenner! but alas I got stung with postage. Pretty annoyed really - I feel it's a bit unfair, that the PO doesn't do a size suitable for it's postal sizes. My item would have easily fit in the small parcel format - if they had a box the right size. :mad: Don't seem to be having much luck with ebay so far, but may have a go with a few re-lists, and add some new craft items that I've managed to photograph this week.

So just finished my second week at the job, and it seems to be going well. Everyone is really friendly so far, and have made me feel really welcome Still only doing "basics" at the moment, though I seem to have got a couple of little projects to get my teeth into - but it would be nice to get stuck in to the nitty gritty stuff :cool:

Got another M/S tomorrow and some more audits for later in the month - just need to book in a few more to keep things ticking for extra income. Really want to get hold of the debt monster again, and get shot of it.

Thanks El - Yes, I'm really hoping that the job develops, not only in terms of permanency but it role as well. It would be so nice to be doing something that is interesting for me Had a mini-meeting with the boss today, and they said they're very happy with me & my work so far and have again stated that they plan to give me more tasks & responsibility as soon as possible

I've been told when we get paid, so I can now properly work on budgets & forecasting. I also really really really need to work on my meal plans - it went a bit pear shaped last month, and has put me back a bit with money as it caused me to overspend when I could least afford to.

I caught a Jamie Oliver 30 min meal program the other day - a tomato salad meal, using lots of different cherry toms .. all different colours with a nice dressing. I'd love to try that, and it's spurred me on to locate some seeds & plants to get growing. Also like to get some salad leafs sown asap as well, but think I might have missed the window for some of the other things I wanted. Well unless I can find someone selling baby plants to grow on.

Some more thoughts to add a bit later, but off for a catch up while munching dinner!

Hello Angelettes,

Been busy with the new job, still on the basics atm but hope to speak to the boss this week & see if I can take on a couple of small projects to help me progress & learn more quickly. Can but hope

I've had 40+ eb*y listings so far this month with only 6 items sold and one of those from this weekend hasnt paid yet :cool: Will give it another shot this weekend, try some different items this time (which I've already photographed) with just a couple of re-lists & see what happens. Got some other items which might be worth listing now with the warmer weather - but wont have time to photo & list those this weekend as I've got audits booked.

I've got a small £20 to add to my kitty ... but well off pace for this month. Lots of work booked in for the next couple of weeks - but none paying out until May / June.

Mr GA's scan results have come back, but have proven inconclusive. Whilst it's good that there's nothing obviously new showing ... it's not much of a help in explaining his recent problems. We're to keep an eye on things and let them know of any further issues.

The new budget is almost done, I've also re-assessed and revised my income forecast workbooks & extra earning spreadsheets & workbooks. I've re-formatted all of them so that the data information automatically updates itself from a single data input (saves me having to manually do each worksheet/workbook) and I'm working on linking all the various workbooks together so they all update themselves & then update the overview master. Finally I'll do the same with the debt workbook sheets before linking that to the main income workbook.:eek::eek:

Meal planning is still ummmm, in the planning stage - having been side-tracked by my sudden urge to reformat the finance logs
I do need to finish this, I get paid on the 25th so would like to get things in place for a shop this weekend, followed by another next week ready for the bank holiday when I plan to do some batch cooking.

Wow sounds like you have been very busy. Glad new job is going well.

We have had a disatrous April the income drop and then with car tax, mot, 2x birthdays and various other prebooked bits and bobs all clashing so think our debt gone up not down this month which is very disheatening... however onwards and upwards...MOT is tomorrow fingers crossed its not too much...

Im not very good at meal planning- i tend to cook whatever we fancy at the time... im sure if I planned more our shopping bill would go down...

Mind you I have meal planned for little miss and brought her entire months purees, finger foods, nappies, wipes and johnson baby products in one hit. I ordered online from boots, got cashback, 10 points per pound as in the parents club and free delivery so I am using what I learn on here... Just need to learn lots more tricks!

Have been writing lots on Dooyoo- keep checking to see if you have written any reviews yet.

:rotfl: I was just reading your diary update .. could've saved you the trouble of writing that all out twice :rotfl:

I really do want to get the meal plans in order ... I've proved that it does save a significant amount when I do it, and it's nice to have stuff made and in the freezer, so all that needs doing usually is to decide in the morning what we're going to have & take it out to defrost ready to heat through that night. Plus, if I've managed to do some baking as well .. it's great to get treats out for indulging in at weekends or mid week pick me ups!

I also really, really, really want to get my act together to get some veg seeds / plants ordered & growing for both the summer & autumn/winter months. Still have so much work (okay all of it!!!) to do in the garden to knock it into some kind of order so that it's fit for planting So determined to get something from garden to plate this year, not only is it nicer but especially with some varieties ... way less expensive than buying it from the shops :eek:
