No .... I'm not in disguise .... honest

So Mr GA has done his 24 hours and the monitors have been returned this afternoon, have to wait for the report to be sent to the Doc. It wasn't the most comfortable thing to have, and he had to sleep with it attached .. made him very restless last night

I have to say, I've never swatted so much before for an interview .. but I'm so glad I did. All the sample "difficult" questions I memorized and then typed up a crib sheet with my specific answers if I was asked ... and boy was I

I also made a list of about twenty questions to ask them (not with the intention of asking all of them lol), and again pleased that I did .. so when it came to the "do you have any questions" bit ... despite them having answered some, I still had some good ones to ask. They had more interviews today and a couple tomorrow morning and are looking to decide & notify everyone later in the afternoon. Just wait & see now, and hope that I've shined a little more than the rest. :)

Nothing in the earnings pot today, but I heard a whisper that it's free listing for the full Easter weekend - so having got my feet wet, I shall be listing some more. I've been typing up descriptions, but still have lots to do and some others I need to do photos for as well - shall do that tomorrow.

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to Easter ... and in its honour - I have brought in more supplies AND there is now a wide range of Easter Eggs to choose from as well - Enjoy !! :p

Well it really has been a very Up & Down day for me :undecided

The Trials included the horrible "girlie test" appointment - not nice and very sore ... Definitely not a good way to start your day :o

On top of that, I got my first feedback as a seller, and they left me neutral. It seems they don't feel that Avon products can be "decent" quality - despite the fact that similar & identical items were described the same. I guess the saving grace was at least they didn't give a negative :undecided

The Tribulations included a big disappointment in my application for the "special" job - unfortunately, despite really good feedback, I wasn't successful in getting that job. Was absolutely gutted. :(

The Triumphs included my second seller feedback - a glowing positive, which is brilliant :p

To top off the Triumphs - The job offer I had the dilemma over last week - came back again to me today, still keen to have me join them. They've upped the starting salary a little bit which (whilst not ideal still) makes it a more viable prospect. :)

They've guaranteed a minimum of three, but more likely six, months to start - but are emphasizing that they see this more like a traditional "probationary" period with the intention of it becoming permanent. They've also promised to look at increasing my role as soon as possible & ergo the salary. :cool2:

    Sooooooooo .... I've accepted, and I next week :j:j:money:

That means I've got lots to do over the long weekend, I'm still going to do my planned eb*y listings, I've got tip runs to finish, meal planning to do, and now planning my work wardrobe, making new budget plans .... and eating Easter Eggs!! :rotfl:

Think that's enough to be getting on with for now ..

  • I just wanted to say a quick but big THANK YOU, to everyone who's supported me through my job hunting trials with your encouragement & good luck wishes ... I can't even begin to say how much it's helped me. :A

Having slept on it, the disappointment of yesterday has eased and I feel better able to be impartial about things, and the practicalities of having accepted what was a second choice. I am actually looking forward to starting there.:)

On reflection this morning, I've decided I'm going to choose to approach this as an opportunity. There is potential in the company and room for the role to grow. I'm going to give it everything, and show them that I'm someone they want to keep & develope :D

Today I'm going to do a few 3 day auction listings, anything that doesn't sell can be re-listed on Monday on a 5 day listing. The rest I'll list over tomorrow & Sunday on 7 day listings. Hopefully that should stagger sales.:)

Hope you all have a lovely Easter :icotbaske

Congratulations on getting the job. It may not be your perfect job but at least it is an income and you can always look for something else whilst still working.

But it sounds positive there is a chance of changing job roles later on.

    Happy Easter everyone.
  • :easter_ba HAPPY EASTER TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE :easter_ba

Managed to do 20 eb*y listings yesterday .. took me ages what with measuring, weighing & calculating. Want to try to do some more today, and maybe tomorrow too .... hark at me .... this from the person who was a frightened rabbit not three weeks ago :rotfl:

There's also some bits that need to go on Gumtree as well, thinking it might be better to create a new email for that as I don't want any of my normal ones getting bombarded. A friend also found a couple of FB selling pages for local to me, so will try to join those & see if I can shift some bits there too :)

Other than that, today will also be spent doing the domestic chores & sorting work wear for next week. Feels a bit strange having not had to do that for a while, and my "work" feet seem to have hidden themselves

Hope everyone has a lovely indulgent day :D
