Managed to get loads done in DH office.

New flying stategory for this year : to accept that a room may not get finished each week but you can come back to it next week (or for me on my 2 week rotation in a fortnight). Starting a new list of what is left to do in each room after it has 'had its day'.

Going to pack a few of the decs away, leaving the tree etc until 12th nigh PenPen - when is that officially?

Then ironing is on the cards tonight and whilst the iron is out to get the huge pile of was off the dining table - oops.

Welcome to all the newbies! I second valli's advice. remember that it took more than one day for your house to get in this state, so it won't be sorted in one day either. If you are really up against it, then stick to 15 minute sessions, focus on decluttering first, and aim for a gradual improvement. You can do it.

    Love and hugs.
How true. I just needed to read this right now - have thought about coming on this thread before but felt I couldn't keep up - now I'm going to do my best - maybe some days level one and some days more - but I really hope to get my house in order this year - doing little jobs during ad breaks also help me - I'm amazed what can be done in such a short space of time. Off to finish off some very light easy stuff. I haven't felt this motivated to tidy in years. Thanks.

Put the cats up there and make them understand that they are now self-sufficient.

George Don't Do That sadly would simply use the beams as scratching posts, wee in the insulation and snore very loudly and theatrically. Then she would cry for hours because she was Cold and it was Dark and She Has Never Been Treated Like This Before, and then slope off to lovelysuenextdoors for a spot of bacon rind and a drop of cream :o

TD on, trying to sort the rest of the clean washing before I give up for the night.

  • Quick catchup ladies, my visitor is going tomorrow, but have sneaked away for a few mins.

Well done on completed tax returns, and hand-holding vibes for those in process....you have a few weeks left, so 30 mins a day until done?

Can't do a lot today but DS not back until Wed so will catchup tomorrow. Have taken tree down today, and will do church one tomorrow whilst I have a willing helper!

But lots of dreaming/planning/thinking going on...I want to squash half our non-mortgage debt this next year (big challenge but as DH now on board, let's go for it). Eeekkk:eek:

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    Tomorrow's list is up!

Back to work for me tomorrow but not sure what I'm doing as it's an inset day and no-one has mentioned it to me so I don't know what we're doing! SW tomorrow night to see how much I've put on then back home and I'll make a start. Going to do a HHC in the kitchen now and then sort the kids out for tomorrow.

Penpen - I thought there was something you weren't telling us too!

Quillion - date hasn't been set for M'hell yet - Mrs C suggested it earlier - I'll try and make it too.

I'll also try and make the Southern meet if someone puts me up again - Froddy/Greenbee?
