Good to pass this info around re carjacking.
I heard of someone last year who was waiting at traffic lights (a woman) not too far from me.
She had her handbag on the front seat like a lot of women do and a man walked up opened the passenger door and grabbed her bag and ran off.
So best to keep the passenger door locked really.

Totally agree that it is good to be reminded about this sort of thing. I agree a lot of women do have their handbag on the front seat.

Many years ago, I heard about someone walking past and opening a car door to grab a handbag from front seat whilst sitting at traffic lights. Since then, I always put the handle of my bag through the seatbelt before fastening it so that if someone did open my door to grab it it was held firm.

:rotfl:and she said you don't like me carps:(:(:(:(

Doc enquired about Broadband, this took me a while to get sorted last week with BT,...was on

Option2 with BT, paying £15.90 for unlimited anytime calls, including 0845 and 0870 and 40gb download( got 20meg speed here)it had crept up by 80p over last 6 months..then noticed it was an odd amount ,

    new deal £18.25....

offered me upgrade to Option 3, same for phone calls but unlimited downloads and free Macfee with BT ProtectPlus, all for £13.60....only 61p more

    Broadband....it's now £8.70 for Broadband
    £4.90 for the calls package...
I pay up front line rental £120 a year.....

Bully, am I right to say your monthly payment will be £23.60 :-

    Line rental £10.00
    Phone £4.90 (unlimited anytime call 01,02, 08etc)
    Broadband £8.70

Thats good deal until they stung you:D. My office latest bill was £700:eek::eek:
My package for the office is a 2 years contract after that me going to look elsewhere cost BT are carp!:D

    Broadband rental unlimited download £15.00
1st Line rental (was £14.99 but they increased it in Nov!) £15.50
    2nd line rental ( ditto) £15.50
Phone Package (anytime like yours): £15.00

So paying approx no more than £64.00 (inc. some calls that they charge)

Then I got the latest bill £62.54 (which is correct) and £726.67 (they themselves does not know why? and they are investigating it! STUPID BT!

If they think I am going to pay them £789.21 + vat they can bu99er off!

Anybody with Talk Talk? I know some does not like them but the offer such a good price.

Bully is paying £23.60, me paying £27.28

The different of £3.68 x 12 months = £44.16 (:rotfl::rotfl: I think I can get my shareholder to pay for it ):D Think I rather stick to virgin media and my shareholder will contribute the balance .

    Broadband / Phone - mine's with PlusNet

Me pay £9.49/month for line rental (I paid £113.88 annual like Bully did with BT)
then £8.98/month for 60Gb broadband extra and all calls (except mobiles)
so £18.47 not including TV ( I got a £6 discount threatening to leave)

I wouldn't recommend Talk Talk to anyone - carp, just like I tell people to avoid Santander - robbing barstools
