I cannot believe what tricks these villains get up to!!!

WARNING FROM POLICE NOT A JOKE PLEASE READ

REVERSE INTO THE PARKING BAY, AND DRIVE OUT FORWARDS – IT’S MUCH SAFER!!

START TO GET INTO THE HABIT OF "REVERSE PARKING "
READ THIS MESSAGE AND UNDERSTAND WHY YOU MUST GET INTO THE HABIT OF REVERSE PARKING

    Warning..!!!!
Just last weekend on Friday night we parked in a public car park. As we drove away I noticed a sticker on the rear window of the car. When I took it off after I got home, it was a receipt for petrol. Luckily my friend told me not to stop as it could be someone waiting for me to get out of the car Then we received this email yesterday.

    WARNING FROM POLICE
THIS APPLIES TO BOTH WOMEN AND MEN
BEWARE OF PAPER ON THE BACK WINDOW OF YOUR VEHICLE-- NEW WAY TO DO CARJACKINGS (NOT A JOKE)!

Heads up everyone! Please, keep this circulating.. You walk across the car park, unlock your car and get inside. You start the engine put it into Reverse.

When you look into the rear-view mirror to back out of your space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window. So, you stop and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view.
When you reach the back of your car, that is when the carjackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically run you over as they speed off in your car.

And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car.
So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your money, and your keys. Your home and your whole identity are now compromised!

BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.

If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, lock your doors and just drive away.
Remove the paper later. And be thankful that you read this e-mail.
I hope you will forward this to friends and family, especially to women.
A purse contains all kinds of personal information and identification documents, and you certainly do NOT want this to fall into the wrong hands.

    Please tell all your friends

sorry my last posts all weird, has a link in it for some reason!.

Bunny, I thought my virgin package was expensive:eek: but comparing to yours, it does look cheaper. As for their TV Medium its all for freeview channels only & I don't need them. Never switch on their box ever since I bought the TV with freeview installed in it. They offered it to me FOC bet they were hoping for me to upgrade to L or LX etc but they didn't know that I am very tight with me dosh:cool:

Doc - need to look about for my BB too - Sky, Tesco and BT all have better deals than current provider (had been waiting for our exchange to be upgraded to get good Sky deal) We do spend on Sky tv though as OH (ok and me) likes the sport (but it's cheaper than watching it all in the pub)

Kerri, I am only interested in broadband tbh with you. Never bother with TV subscription ( I think the more channels you have the less time you will be spending your time with your family & the children will be glued to the TV the whole day:eek: which to me is not advisable.) Hate sports any sports:o

Is there a broadband provider with no line rental available?:o

Good to pass this info around re carjacking.

I heard of someone last year who was waiting at traffic lights (a woman) not too far from me.

She had her handbag on the front seat like a lot of women do and a man walked up opened the passenger door and grabbed her bag and ran off.

So best to keep the passenger door locked really.

Morning All..been absent for a couple of weeks thought I'd better say, I'm still here...don't like posting using iPad, 1 finger typing takes too long and laptop been left at daughters, got it back now.Have been trying to find time to read posts , but there are always loads and loads and not had that much time to read them all, as whilst weather has been restricting outdoor pursuits have been decorating...so if not read all posts , apologies, but difficult to join in with conversations when so much been missed, especially when in a rush....have found time to comp( sorry, but comping is priority for me)won years supply of Radox, £40 bottle of pink champagne and £50 of hair care products)all since my return from my holiday....also time has been used researching next holiday, not booked it yet, still researching...and sorting out Broadband package...all these do take time and as it was limited re decorating, 'Drivel' was on back burner...but I know you'll understand as peeps can pop on and off here whenever it suits...but felt guilty after Doc and Blue posted yesterday on FB...sorry peeps!!
Doc enquired about Broadband, this took me a while to get sorted last week with BT,...was on Option2 with BT, paying £15.90 for unlimited anytime calls, including 0845 and 0870 and 40gb download( got 20meg speed here)it had crept up by 80p over last 6 months..then noticed it was an odd amount , so called and they said 'cos my contract up at end of this month, the discounted offer I was on had ended ...not happy with that at all....asked for a new deal and said best was now £18.25....said would switch to Sky, bloke would not budge on price....waited for few days and rang back , said was definitely going to switch to Sky unless they had a better offer....this time they took me seriously and offered me upgrade to Option 3, same for phone calls but unlimited downloads and free Macfee with BT ProtectPlus, all for £13.60....only 61p more than I was paying 5 years ago when I switched to BT, and that was just for Broadband....it's now £8.70 for Broadband and £4.90 for the calls package...I pay up front line rental £120 a year.....pays to haggle peeps!

Not been able to add much re shopping as do not like Asda that much and it's the furthest store from me ,so not in on APG's, still don't understand how it works, if stuff is cheaper elsewhere why not buy it elsewhere??and don't want to buy stuff I don't want in the first place toget the difference back!!!! I know I must have it wrong as Doc would not be such an enthusiast, but it baffles me ...
Had a good shop at T's, used all sorts of bits of paper and got £26 off my shopping the other day, best bargain were 4 jars of delicious pickle...Christmas stock reduced from £4.25 to 85p, got 4 jars..sell by date September, will def be gone by then...but the good thing is , it is in Kilner type jars( but a bit more attractive) and they will be used when the pickle has gone as storage jars....
That's my little update...time to have breakfast and hopefully get out for a nice long walk , at last...just a very small amount of snow on the ground now, remains of snowmen, but not raining as it was yesterday( all day)...fishing tomorrow, not on the lake( frozen solid) but on pike fishing on the river...
