Morning all. Wow is it cold again today forecasting -7 tonite so best prep my hot water bottle ready. Glad the snow stayed for yesterday coz the kids had a great time at school all the kids and teachers made snowmen and forts for snowball fights I had never seen anything like it when we went to pick them up the forts were maybe meter and a half high and ten meters long(they have a fantastic play field). Lots of sad faces this morning tho as most of the snow now slush and ice but those forts will be about for quite a while I imagine

if you just pour hot water on weeds, it doesn't kill the roots. Salt kills their roots, making it easy to pull them out including roots, and hopefully not grow back. I tried it and it does work but we have stubborn weed and grass, so worked well on little weeds. Not on big weeds. I need jeferey to come and sort them out!
I just pull 'em out with the help of a trowel and if they are in the lawn or a tight space I use a long screwdriver to get to bottom of root. Never use weed killer of any kind - don't like chemicals, I grow organically you know ;)

Do you use cow or horse poo? Or do you use your own poo??:D

Think about it, if you use your own poo, you are giving back what you dug out!:D
