    Morning all

Toniq - poor you! Hope jess settles for a nap so you can have a break. :o

Gilly - we had a very similar table for ds2, he lived it so I think I'm going to put in on Noah's Christmas list :D

Have got a friend and her little one coming round today for lunch so that will be nice. Ds1 stayed at a friends last night and isn't coming back until later so just the 2 boys to occupy this morning.

I just tried Noah on some fruity porridge and he loved it! :D

    Hi everyone,

can I join in? I had DD2 on 12th August, weighing in at 6lb. She was a whole 2 and 1/2 hours overdue by emergency caesarean as my old caesarean scar had started to tear. she is called Megan Bette and is absolutely gorgeous as is DD1!

So far so good, I have been breastfeeding, combining with a bottle before bed (usually at midnight) to try and get 3 hours sleep in one go.
I do appear to be breastfeeding rather a lot, with her latching on from mid-afternoon until her midnight feed, so I think I am being used as a dummy and feeling a bit sore and concerned that I am not giving her enough milk (her bottle is guzzled straight down). Has anyone else struggled with this? My boobs are really sore, the pain feels quite deep, not just nipple pain.

Seeing the midwife tomorrow to hopefully be discharged.

    Hope everyone else is OK.

    Congrats Gemma,
Talk to the health visitors as they can check the latch etc. It might also be worth thinking about expressing in the night to boost supply?
I think the problem when you start BF is that you are always a bit behind demand so you will have some days where all you seem to do is feed.

When my boy was born I managed to boob feed for about 3 weeks but he had a bottle at night...he always got really cranky in the afternoon and then wouldn't settle until we gave him his bottle at 11. He maintained his weight for a week and a half then we switched to formula and now he's a whopper and became a really contented baby. I have great respect for anyone who manages to BF as I never ever considered how tiem consuming and difficult it can be at the beginning. At the end of the day though do right by you and the bubs. (Not sure any of that blurb actually helps you but its written now)

Ro - I'm as shocked as anyone that I've managed to keep up the running and week 4 today was a shock going from 9 mins of running to 16 mins (spread over 30mins). A lady with a dog said "oooh....I don't know how you do it!"....my strangled reply was "Its killing me!!!" I really do want to be fitter though as Ioan has started to move and will only get faster!!! So every other day I get up and 6.20 and head to the park....normally feel better for it and I quite like the fact that I get some ME time....admnittedly not doing anything I would really love to do but time alone nonetheless....now I just need to break my food addiction.

Oh and a great arm workout for anyone is singing the grand old duke of york with the action (bubs gets hoisted into the air on the 'ups")...no mean feat when they are getting on for 20lb

The good effect has worn off on my hubby now though and every other day he gets up to cycle round the block. unlike me he's stick thin but am fed up of him complaining he has no energy so I'm happy he's started to do something about him.

Shopping - think we avaerage roughly 80 oer week for everything though I'm trying this month to start bringing that down so am going to do some online shops and make a bnit more of an effort to cook the proper portion sizes.

sorry was a bit of an epic ramble

Morning just a quick one, on my phone and I have fat fingers so loads of mistakea usually.

Finally a night of sleeping through, after 3 or 4 nights of distrupted sleep. He did stir around 2 but he went straight back over. Think the teeth may be bothering him

Those with crawling bubbas and dummys, is it just mine or do they find them everywhere? Everytime I look round he has a different one in his gob.

Well best go MIL coming over today so got to tidy up. Have a nice day all xxx

Aw hugs sammie, babies can be so fickle! George only likes being in his for a max of 5 mins at the moment, I think he finds it quite hard work as he's a bit small for it yet really.

He seems to like teasing me - had another 2 good nights and then last night he was up at 11 (I'd just got to bed myself) then again at 1 and then up for the day just before 6. On the plus side I got on with some chores early but I could seriously do with a nap now!

Back on the stroller subject - how important do you ladies think it is to have baby facing you, at least when they're young? Some that are listed as being suitable from birth are only front facing, but I quite like being able to talk to him while we're walking. To get a pushchair with a reversible seat really ups the cost though. I've sent my mum on a mission to the baby charity shop near her just on the off chance.

  • Hey Katie

Hugs for being so tired, hopefully you get a snooze soon.

Our travel system has a seat which can face either way, he isnt in it yet as he is a bit young still but I like the idea of being able to still talk to him as I do now. I know the price will be more though, is there any on ebay? I know some ebay shops are ex display baby lines so may be good? Let me know if you need a link.

Just got paid today and SMP in full flow now! Not even enough to cover the mortgage :( hate having money off OH but think thats my only choice this month.

I like having Aaron facing me. Our pram does both. Sometimes he faces out, majority of the time in.

The original travel system we bought didn't have a parent facing option on the pushchair. I've since bought another one which does because I found it really bothered me not having the option - this one I bought second-hand off a pushchair addict and paid like £100 for it.

Hmm thanks ladies. I think I'll regret it if I get fixed front facing one, shame as I really like the cosattos! Did you have a link to any of the eBay shops sunshine? Be much appreciated if you do :)

George is on his second hour long nap of the day, so far I've got the kitchen and bathroom cleaned, just a quick run round with the duster and Hoover and I'm done! !!!!!!, off to get the washing in, just started pouring!
