    Nutella - haha, i did do a moster post didn't I!!

Oh, and nothing wrong with getting excited about housework, anything that means we're moving in the right direction of full recovery is something to get excited about. I still get excited every time I can have a bath when Charlie has nap number 1. He NEVER EVER EVER used to sleep during the day!! x

Thanks hun - makes me feel a bit less of an anorak!... :) My LO happily sleeps during the day, but only on people or in a moving pram... If you put her down in her basket, even whilst asleep, she'll be wide awake within five minutes. I hope she takes some inspiration from Charlie - would indeed be very exciting to be able to have a shower without hubby having to be at home! Thankfully she sleeps fairly well at night though, so I can't complain.

Hey Nutella, my LO used to be exactly the same. He wouldnt sleep in the day unless he was in the carseat or on me, but the last 4 weeks he has managed to go down on his own....heres hoping your LO grows out of the phase too.

Aiden likes to have a bunny comforter thing, like a small fleece blanket with a bunny face on? He puts it near his face and holds onto the ears, sometimes he will hold my hand too until he has dropped off. I know what you mean about a shower when OH is home, I used to have to do that too :)

Gosh those days seem like so long ago and it was only about 3 weeks, why do they grow so quickly :(

    xx

Yes, Charlie has a Winnie The Pooh one, and holds it close to his face as he drifts off, then I just gently remove it.

The minute he rubs his eyes, i take him upstairs, have him in just his bodysuit, lay him on the fold out bed in his room, with his head slightly on a pillow, draw curtains and put lullaby on. I also put the fan on for white noise. I give him his snuggle, put dummy in and lie next to him or just sit quietly with him. He may fuss a little, even cry a little, but then calms down. Then when he drifts off, I slowly lower him into his cotbed. Works a charm for us!!

    Thanks for the welcomes :)

    Love all the baby pics!

We've just started being able to get George to nap in the day, I think we struggled to begin with because we kind of thought when he was tired he'd just go to sleep (we clearly had no idea about babies, how wrong can you get?!) so he was constantly overtired. Now I base nap times on no more than 2 hours of awake time, so half an hour before the two hours are up I take him in the bedroom where it's a bit quieter and feed and calm him then put him down when he's drowsy. Sometimes he fusses a bit but generally it works. Touch wood!

Well done you!! :T We struggled at first too, and I was a nursery nurse in the baby room for 4 years....having your own is so different lol.

Sounds like George is a fab little baby x

Morning Ladies (or should I say afternoon!)

Loving all the baby pics, such little cuties!

I've had a lovely morning with Poppy, fed her at 7.00am then took her back to bed with me and a cup of tea. She napped and watched tv and I read my book and had my brew! Weather is miserable outside so was a perfect way to spend the morning!

Must get dressed now and do something productive with the rest of the day!

    xx

P.S Welcome to Katiechoc and little George, he shares his Birthday with my OH!
