Morning, and welcome to a very cold Monday!:D
So have not posted for awhile, and to be honest have not been reading the forums either ( I know its terrible) but with everything else going on in my life, I just do not seem to have enough hours in the day!.But I have missed you all and I really need to get back in the habit of posting as it really does help keep a handle on whats going on.
heres a quick update -
So family member out of hospital (has been in and out 3 times now) but we think on the mend :j
Hopefully meeting with someone in the next week or so to discuss opportunity. Means 40-50 miles less commute a day and more money - not loads more, but anything helps right:T
Moving house in the next few weeks - I know I know money saving going out the window, BUT we really love this house and it will be the forever house we want. Its bigger and serves all purposes because...( not really telling anyone yet but then your not anyone and I know you can keep a secret):rotfl: We have been accepted for adoption :T:T:T So very excited you have no idea. We have been going through the process for awhile, and were not planning on moving but this house came up 1.5 miles away. Has everything and more for us - and we have decided that whilst the process is going on, we would move now, sort finances and then bring a little ray of sunshine into our lives..and we cant wait:j
Oh and I have also started my study, best friend gets married in a few months, so am organising the usual party, although this is now becoming 2 parties and a week away:o So DH and I have agreed this is our holiday this year ( even if we are not going together) as he has the stag week the week later..
Anyway think that about covers most things, will get things straight and then formulate a plan of action - oh and still chipping away at debt - just not loads, as trying to save or use bay of e money to cover survey costs etc..so actually still on the MSE train, just not currently stopping at any stations ( debts)..:rotfl:
Anyway hope everyone is well! And catch up soon
Take Care xx2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.

Morning and welcome to Tuesday. So I wonder what craziness can come into A's world today.:D.
So I have done a little organising last night and this morning ( yes I know it's only 5.30am) but whilst I am in this frame of mind no point missing the opportunity.:rotfl:
So have listed a few more things on bay of ebay. Boxed and ready to post other bits that have been paid for. Have some others finishing later today - so will traipse down tomorrow with my wares.
Made a payment to my CC - transferred some money to the house account and generally scared myself with how much i think getting the new place how I ( I mean we)
want it  Yowzer I really need to rethink that one.
Anyway - few questions that I was just wondering what the general view is
1. How much should you have in an emergency fund - Is it 3 or 6 months?
2. I am planning on making OP's on the new mortgage from the start not loads - but if I am in the correct way from the beginning. But then think about using it for debts - Debts will still be my main focus but just thought a little more on the mortgage cant hurt..Only rounding up - it works out about 82£ PM..but according to Martin's calculator will reduce my term by 2 years and save £6k in interest..so cant be all bad can it?
So they are the A quandry's for today, tomorrow and probably a few more weeks I am sure:p. Searches for new place came back and all good - our buyer is already putting the pressure on for a move date..well they will just have to wait! As Dh is away I will be doing most of the organising myself - so have got some quotes for removals that include packing and unpacking. It was only £100 more - which I know sounds loads, but if it stops me running round like a loon, surely its worth the money right?Hoping it will be Easter week as DH may be able to get a day off that week - but if it's not then I apologise now for my ramblings, general craziness and panic that will follow in the continuing month..lol.
Anyway off to work - have a great day XX2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.

Arrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh - Wow who said life was easy.:o.
So we are supposed to be moving on Monday ( yes in4 days time) but now you think by now I should be prepared for drama - but the solicitors have not exchanged yet. There is only a small chain infact we are it!! cash buyer and empty either side. But now we may exchange by end of the week - who knows and move late next week, whats the problem you may ask?? Well DH only has Monday off adn cant get anymore time off until MAY!! so guess who will be moving all by themselves - yep that's right :rotfl: this is hysteria by the way..I feel now for the removal company as it will be a military operation - sadly thats my coping mechanism.
Adoption - Went this week to some preparation training. The Morning was fantastic, the afternoon was great don't get me wrong, but has terrified me that we will never have kids - as we will never be able to afford it! Now I know you can never afford children - but I really will need to be a SAHM and with the debt we have it will never happen - so I have become very depressed. Yes it has made be more determined than ever to clear this, but being realistic it will be another 2 years maybe a few months less before we can even truly think about it - and we are both over 40 so its not like we have years to lose..
Anyway apologies for the rant - I just need to vent somewhere and where else but here
.
On a plus side still chipping away at the debts - I have started the odd pence each morning from my bank balance - jeez its amazing how quickly it adds up..I have a meeting with someone later about a change of location for work and hopefully another next week...so fingers crossed for that. The one next week should save me a tank of fuel a week if not more, and is more money - so I am really interested in that. And todays is a "no idea" meeting. They have a plan and want to see me and see if I fit ..so may update later with that one..Same distance travelling, so will need to see what they are upto.
Anyway hope everyone is well - will catch up with posting soon. I read all the time on here - just do not post.
Again sorry for the rant ! Right off to work I go XX2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.
