Morning All, Hope everyone is having a fantastic Weekend - even if the white stuff is still falling
.
And so I have done it!!!! :j Another CC kicked to the touchline :j. A little mini wave of celebration at this time of the morning was in order, and a coffee to celebrate..:rotfl:
So onwards and upwards to the next goal - the next dreaded CC. I have a lot to clear, but I am determined to have this gone as close to April as possible..so going to be ebaying hard, and reducing my spends wherever possible..I know it's weird but I have found for me that picking one debt and giving myself a timeline seems to work..and hey at the moment if its working I am not going to change it :rotfl:
Anyway I hope everyone is well - I will be off in a moment to catch up on the diaries...but first I have a confession ( in my head I hear groans of disappointment) but before you judge and comment and please do if you so wish - can you please in full why...
So for those of you that have been following my diary - will know that my job is a little of a uncertainty of late, and additional funds I could usually make i.e. bonuses, etc are gradually being eroded. Anyway this gave me a bit of a kick - to do a bit of soul searching and look around to possibilities closer to home, no definate but just a look. Anyway it became apparent, that whilst I am very good at my job ( sorry no arrogance intended) I do not have any formal qualification - something I have wanted to do, but never had the funds - I work in a very specialised area, and if I went off to do this it would cost about £30k to fully be certified - something I will never or want to spend. So I have stayed within the industry arena I am in. But I think it is time to move out of my comfort zone, and try something new - different industry but same skills..if that makes sense - so i called a distant learning company, had a heart to heart and they have suggested that I do a course that covers what I do but so much more.As it is a relatively new recognised qualification and you can do it in levels it is loads cheaper - so yes I know I have digressed, but I am trying to explain why :rotfl: yes in a very drawn out way I know.. Anyway short version i have just spent £700 on a course, that I can do from home and study and can have a industry recognised qualification at the end of it - I can also then do the next one after should i wish and then the next and the costs are the same each time, the down side is that I had to put it on my CC I know I Know but the upside is it means I can start to look outside of my comfort zone for a job that is closer to home - which when I get the first thing i will do with the fuel savings is to clear this.. It made sense in my head anyway :rotfl: Off now to look at other peoples diaries who are not spending money

Aamberle the course sounds like an amazing idea - I take my hat off to you
In my humble opinion , £700 very well spent.
For most people working the hours & travelling that you do , finding the time to do a course as well would nearly impossible .... But , with the determination you have already shown with your debt busting ...... I know you will do it :T
Enjoy your day xxThe final chapter - £4893 to go out of £30K0 -

Wow Firstly many thanks for your positive comments - I have been beating myself up over it, you are quite correct. But I feel that in the current circumstances anything to help keep me employed is a bonus..On that note I have another meeting this AM which is when i am supposed to find out for certain what is going on - but we will wait and see, as the last few have been less that informative
.
Anyway back onto more interesting news - been selling on the bay of e - it would seem that there is a lot of activity going on. I thought it would be a tough month, but no seems to be going well! Another couple of sales this week - so have made a small payment on the CC, so thats great news..
Oh and the moving house conversation has reared its head again ( although to be honest never really went away) so to add to everything else may have to be added into the mix :rotfl: never a dull moment in the A household - p.s. this is a discussion with OH's employer not that we have made up for something to do..but I did ring mortgage company yesterday just to see figures etc. And basically although our mortgage will go up ( cant be helped with the moving south) but the money in the house left not loads - but would clear debts down below £10k if not less, so it is definately worth some thought...
Anyway enough rambling from me have a great day xx2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.

Morning - So not much to report today, more snow landed overnight, so everything looks nice and bright.
Meeting yesterday was exactly that a meeting. Very non eventful, did not learn anything, and I think I just keep my head down for another month.:D. Been invited to another in a few weeks, so cant be all bad.
But still looking as I said before gives me a kick I needed..
Anyway not a lot to report really MSE wise...still got a few ebay sales finishing this week, with a few watchers on some items finishing this week, so thats good. Off to post office later to post another couple of items and made a little payment to CC..:T
Anyway thats all for now - Have a good one xx2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.
