Morning All - Been a little while since my last update. Hope you all have a fab Christmas and have had the chance to relax a little:D.

SO update from me - no news re 2nd interview. So what will be will be. Looks like I made it through the cull as I am told I am being moved desks early Jan - so unless that is into the car park- I should be there a few months, before the next onslaught but we will see. So I can breathe a sigh of relief for now - but I can tell you has made us re- look at the debt and ways to reduce it - it could of been a very different situation if the outcomes were different..ho hum.

Anyway on a lighternote, had a good Christmas - family seemed to enjoy themselves, think I have spent £10 ( if that ) since Christmas Eve so that is pretty amazing. And have even made a couple more OP to my CC to kick it down a little more. I get paid the last day and cant decide whether to pay off a bit more then, or wait until the 1st and kick start Jan in style...oh decision decisions...:rotfl:I am hoping my expenses are paid so this should make quite a nice dent in the smaller of the card debts..to the point where I hope with some luck of the ebay and some careful planning it can be paid off and cleared by end of Jan...but hey lets see what happens.

Anyway off now, I hear people stirring..Have a great day xx

:rotfl:sometimes I think I might prefer to be sat out there!

Seriously that's great news though - I am so relieved for you as I know how worrying it is! Can't believe how restrained you've been over Christmas too (surely the easiest time to go off the rails?!) I think not adding to the debts in December deserves a huge :T
Oooh if it were me I would wait until 1st Jan for more overpayments (for what it's worth :p) something nice about starting the year how you mean to go on - and only a few days to wait.

Do you have any plans for New Year celebrations?

Off to bed but catch up soon xxxx

  • Morning and welcome to the very last day of this year! And what a roller coaster of a ride it has been.:o But I refuse to see this year out on a downer - so am using this as my final post in a positive way..

I would like to thank all the people on here that have given me so much support over the year, it really is appreciated knowing that you are not the only one going through the tough times - not quite oscar level I know :rotfl:

Also just a reminder to myself of what I achieved so far

    2011 Started with £56,824.50
    2011 Finished with £44,873.00
    2012 Started with £44,873.00
    2012 Finished with £34,980.25

So in 2 years I have managed to reduce our debts by £21,844.25. :T:T:T. I know I have a long way to go - BUT I am determined to get there and stay there ...Next stop 2013....Debts be afraid!!:rotfl:

Anyway will pop on tomorrow with my January plans but for now I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and wish you all the luck, love, health and happiness for 2013.

    Enjoy Xxx

Evening - Did not want to leave until my usual morning post.

Just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the lovely comments, makes me very tearful...in a good way.

Anyway hope everyone is well and I will do my official posting in the morning ..This helps me stay focussed for the day :D.
Not much news for today - dug out my slow cooker today and have decided that I need to be more organised in the meal planning arena - this may also help with the weight loss - so have decided to avoid my complete stress of ( OMG my house will burn down and I wont know) yes leaving a slow cooker on while I am at work - I am going to cook the meals through the night and then when I get in from work I just need to reheat..I think it sounds like a plan as everything is still off during the day and I can be organised every evening that a meal is already prepared.:T Sounds like a great plan but lets see how long it lasts..

Anyway am currently making sausage and bean casserole with veg for tomorrow, and did not buy anything was all just here already - so a really cheap meal organised today.

    Have a good evening x

  • I must say I do look forward to your morning posts :) (even though I read them in the evenings as am invariably late for work and dashing around first thing)

Ooh let us know how you get on with the slow cooker? I've always been curious as to whether they are actually any good! God, we've so much food left over from Christmas I'm thinking I might not need to shop for the whole of Jan... unless Mr SCP keeps munching through things at his current rate that is!! :rotfl:

Have you decided which debt you are going to focus on next?

Anyway have a great day and enjoy the casserole!

I love our SC - and leave it on during the day when we're out ;) - hope your casserole goes okay! And well done on all you've achieved in 2012 :D
