Phew - I could be safe! I like the LE haircare but have some Ojon to use first and I do like Aveda Rosemary and Mint so although nice, they are not my HG products. I agree with the rest of you that the footcream dispenser is rubbish. The product is great - it would be much better just in a tube with a screw top.
No more UUs today but have some splutterers so could be adding to my £1 pot very soon this week (and decreasing my stash slowly but surely)!
BTW - I got my L'Occitane email for the free handcream but I can't get the barcode to display - anyone else had this problem? I am thinking of just taking it in anyway to see if I can redeem it.
I picked mine up today and they already had me on a database to collect my freebie - this was my first freebie from them so it could only have come from this email. I think you will be find to pop in - they justed asked for my postcode.
So and IN - L'Occitaine hand cream 30ml freebie worth £7.50.
I also tried to use my B**ts skinny to get the quick thinking wipes but they had sold out of them. They are repackaging them so there is a delay in restocking. No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
Hmmmmmm I've read through the entire thread with the intention of joining, the result of this good intention has so far been:
1. The purchase of a Liz Earle 'Try Me' skincare set
2. Signing up for an Amarya Beauty Box
3. Utter jealously regarding some of the stashes, keep thinking "I must try that"
Not sure this is having the desired effect!!0 -
Hello
I was kindly pointed in the direction of this thread by Scrappie as I've had a good sort out of my toiletries which are ghosts of Christmas and Birthdays past (my birthday's in January so I get lots of lovely toiletry sets as b'day presents as folks sensibly buy bargainous sale sets for me). I just have too much to warrant buying anything now (except run of the mill shampoo, conditioner for family and macho scented descaler for males of the household)
So, if I draw up a list, can I join in for February please?
Also, does anyone know the rough shelf-life of unopened items - I've got stuff from at least two Christmases/ birthdays ago and although I'm trying to use up on a rotation basis, it just seems like some of it's going to be sitting around for a while longer - unless I give up work and sit in the bath pampering myself for a living? Unfortunately this would be the stash-friendly not cash-friendly solution! Seriously would 2 - 3 years old still be good to go, do you think? :undecidedStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

most things have an unopened shelf life of two years or more. if it still smells/looks ok then its ok to use. id be wary of anything more natural because they don't use as many preservatives and have much shorter shelf lives.
can you repurpose anything really old as handwash etc to get it used up quicker?0 -
Thanks Evilsquid, I've been using some of the less lovely bubble bath as handwash. My OH moans about that though, although not as much as he did when I made liquid soap out of soap nuts, which turned out more nutty than soapy :DlStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Hi everyone,
I hope this is not too OT, but I just want to mention something that did not occur to me until much too late.
I am 62 years young, blessed with good skin genes and have moisturised my face since I was 17, using SPF's as soon as they became available, so I am fortunate to have great skin and hair, BUT I never thought about my hands, I spent lots of time outdoors, dog walking, gardening and walking holidays in the UK, consequently my facial skin looks early 50's and my hands 70+, can I advise handcreams with SPFs or budget price pots of face cream with sun protection for slapping on when you are about to spend time outside.
Best wishes. MMThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Join us now Habibiboo, you too Queen B - what's Feb got that Jan hasn't???
Post your stash list so we can all have a good old [STRIKE]drool[/STRIKE] look!
Habibiboo - just occured to me, why not e-mail the CS of the companies involved, im sure they would let you know the unopened shelf life. Otherwise best trust your nose!
Maddiemay - I really do need to start using more handcream - it's not like I don't have any!!
