£20 Free from EGG

in Credit cards
Add a second card holder to your existing account and EGG will credit £20 to your account.
First 8,000 to apply.
Insert From Martin: This is a commonly run promotion by Egg, they do it every once in a while. We've seen both free cash and free booze via these promotions in the past. There's absolutely no reason not to do this. Egg's aim is obvious, two people with the card mean more is likely to be spent on it. However, there's no need to fall for this, you could always apply for a card for your partner, but not give it to them or not have them use it - and still pocket the £20.

Does this offer include 'second' Egg Blue cards? [One reason for not requesting a second card holder at application].....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
-
I think it only applies to the green card but here`s the link

Thanks for that...
OPPPS! I didn't read the word green even though it was clearly stated throughout...
I got an additional green cardholder/half case of wine previously - so can't complain really... It's just a 'repeat' offer. And as David78 says below don't request an additional blue card until they offer you something for taking it! ;D.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
I think Egg Blue holders should wait to see if Egg do a promotion for them. This offer is definitely Green only according to the terms and conditions.
There's the harm, there may be a promotion next month and you would lose out.0 -
I already have an additional card holder so no good for me eitherThere is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

Extract from the Fools board.
"Be quick and bag yourself £20 for being one of the first 8,000 egg green cardholders to apply for an additional cardholder to your account.
This was posted here last week and I applied on the 3rd, haven't got the card or £20 yet. Just a word of warning though, yesterday I received a letter confirming my payment protection insurance, thought it was on my new blue card (applied for at same time), but no, they confirmed its for the green (which I've had 4 years and never asked for it), they must have hidden away in the additional cardholder application something about adding it, very sneaky."0 -
Got my 2nd card on Thursday but no sign of the £20 yet, anyone know how long this usually takes?0

Hi
What, if any implications are there for the person you add onto your card in terms of their credit rating? Do they have to live at the same address as you (I live on my own). Can I make someone up?! Do I get a prize for asking soooo many questions? Any help from anyone much appreciated on this. Thanks

You can add a second person who doesn't live at your address, but the card will be sent out to the account holders address.
I don't know whether they perform a credit search on that 2nd person or not, I presume so because they have to verify that they are over 18.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0
