Not sure about the flexible seating. Ours was an 05 T3 model

I`m on about a year old model not one Arthur Negus would need to look at :rotfl:

Oy - it was 1 year old when I got it when child number 2 came along, and 5 years old when I got rid of it after trying to use it up to child number 3 being 6 months old.

A good car, but not big enough.

It was the first 7 seater version of the Corolla Verso, the Mk 1 Corolla Verso only had 5 seats.

The new model may be better. They have certainly dropped the 'Corolla' part of the name.

EDIT: Looked on the www.toyota.co.uk and the seating appears more flexible, but I still think it's too small if you need to carry a pram - the old fashioned traditional type like we have anyway.

Yeah you might but the OP didn`t mention the need for a 4x4 :)
They mentioned a Hyundai Santa Fe which is a "4x4".
They wanted safety (check), reliability (check) and seven seats (check) whilst NOT being an Mpv. That leaves you with 4X4's and Mercedes E class estates.

Had a look around. So far what I liked in our price range is ford s-max or toyota verso. Is there any specs we should go for? the toyota dealer had a verso 1.6 petrol and 2.0 diesel. the s-max mentioned titanium and vetec.what do people think?we plan to test drive verso over the weekend when other half off work.
I havent looked at grandis yet but will search for one nearby.is there any particular model i should look out for in that one?
  • We're in the process of buying a Ford S Max.

It has tons of internal space but doesn't feel too cumbersome to drive..I love it :)

Should be picking ours up on Sunday. I can't wait!

Black exterior/interior & blacked out windows, wonderful car. Has smart 4 wheel drive ( it turns on automatically when conditions are bad) otherwise drives on 2 wheels apparently!. Downside, servicing is not cheap, as their parts/batteries etc are non standard fit & hence expensive. Otherwise is fully loaded with lots of features, i really enjoy driving it! HTH :)
No one said it was gonna be easy!

My Dad loves his Chrysler Grand Voyager. You can have 2-7 seats in it at any one time, with good leg-room and boot space. His has tinted windows and an LPG conversion - cheap to run and a bit plush too

Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe. Also in GMC Yukon guise. If you're bothered about looks this is what you want. :D
