I dont think so, others may be more knowledgable than me though on that as I am way over 21

just googled it and the answer is no she cant

I think they are quite strict as once you're in, the chances of getting served alcohol goes up quite dramatically, so to be safe, if you're not 21, you don't get in...even with a parent.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Last time I was asked for ID in Vegas, I was 43. I thanked them profusely, and showed my driving licence. There is no way you could get away with it IMHO.
  • Waaahh! Leaving on the day she turns 21!!! It is like the worlds worst torture!!

At least you are going somewhere pretty damn cool to make up for it :D

They do ID everywhere so make sure she knows not to get her hopes up that she can 'slip through the net' like underage people can over here.

Oh dear, this is not looking good ha ha, midnight on 11th she can celebrate for a couple of hours, We don't have any expectations so whatever we can do will be good :j

    Hotel Advice
This will be my first trip to Vegas with my two daughters, I am really struggling over which Hotel to book, I can't afford one of the big fancy ones and have been looking at around $600 for three nights, can anyone either recommend somewhere central or even tell me where definitely not to go. Please, any advice will be gratefully accepted :)

$600 dollars for 3 nights is quite reasonable!! Have you tried sites like LowCostUsa.co.uk, Travel Republic, Virgin Holidays, British Airways hotels? I'm currently searching through them all to get the best price for our hotels in April and it really does pay to shop around! Think we are going to book a Terrace Suite at The Cosmopolitan which is coming in at £400 for 3 nights (about $610) with Virgin, and no resort fees! We haven't stayed there before but heard good reports and its very central.

We have also booked 7 nights at Mandalay Bay through LowCostUsa and it worked out about £100 per night with resort fee included. We have stayed at this hotel twice and although not the most central (still on the strip) it has the most amazing pool and we just love it there.

We have also stayed at Planet Hollywood which is also very central and usually comes in at great prices!
Lucky wins - Rituals Beauty Advent Calendar; Starbucks Coffee & £20 Gift Card; Amazing Hen Weekend at Dunblane Hydro; Heat Magazine Book Bundle; Le Crueset Goodies :j

Wishing everyone some magic fairy pixie dust for luck!

They are 20 and 26, they want their own room so looking at two rooms or that price, going 9 - 12th April.

Here are a few, all decent prices. We're staying in The Signature at MGM Grand for our honeymoon in May. Slightly more expensive but number 6 on Trip Advisor and it looks amazing :)

    NYNY
With the 30% off NYNY code here:

    http://www.smartervegas.com/hotels/new_york_new_york/promotionalcodes.aspx

You can get rooms from $44 per night.

Your dates would be from only $167 per room for 3 nights in taxes :T with the Park Avenue Deluxe - so $334 total :).

    or

    MGM Grand

    With MGMENT11 code here:

    http://www.smartervegas.com/hotels/mgm_grand/promotionalcodes.aspx

$195 per room inc taxes with the Grand Tower King Rooms - so $390 total :)

    :A

    The Great Declutter Challenge - £876 :)

Very unlikely to get 2 rooms for 3 nights at any of those for $600

Apologies, I hadn't read the later post advising that it's 2 rooms needed!

Yes the Cosmo and MB would probably be slightly more than your budget. A quick check with Virgin and for your dates the Mandalay Bay is £406 ($613) and Cosmo £450 ($685). Although a quick look on Lowcostusa - the Planet Hollywood for your dates is quoting 2 rooms for £258 total ($390) and & Paris for £330 ($500) - both no resort fees.

So some nice central hotel choices are available

You can get Cosmopolitan for those dates for 452GBP for 2 x city view rooms via Virgin, works out a little over $600 but is central and a very nice hotel.
