If cirque 'o' is an option, I've heard that La Reve is a similar type of show @ wynn

If it's a special occasion splash out on the vip seats which have comfy chairs, tv screens showing behind the scenes and strawberries and champagne. Just a suggestion otherwise you sometimes get standard seats reduced through travelzoo. We thought vip was worth the money.

You can they trailers on youtube.

We also enjoyed ka at mgm a lot...

I had been going to Vegas for years before going to a Cirque show as I thought they wouldnt interst me.

Went to see KA a couple of years ago and it was fantastic, the stage itself was impressive, saw LOVE last year was also good especially if you like beatles music but because KA has a storyline that won it for me

THE show that is talk of the town at the mo is Absinthe

I've been very tempted by Absinthe but hope it doesn't offend the fianc!e :p:rotfl:

I'll check La Reve and KA out too, thank you :)

Myself and DH have been to see George Wallace a few times and he never disappoints. You can also meet him afterwards. He's a lovely man.
We have also seen "Mystere" at TI, which I wasn't too fussed about, and we also went to see "Tournament of the Kings" at Excalibur when we got married (it's rather fun, gets a bit messy as you eat but don't sit near the front - horses kick sand up as DH found out to his distress :rotfl:)

TBH me and DH like to go to the one off shows if we are lucky enough to drop on. Seen George Michael and Jay Leno in Vegas, so we are always checking on the Vegas website when we are planning to go to see if there is anyone that we are never going to have an opportunity to see anywhere else.

    Hi
    Booking our holiday this weekend. Giong 1 March 2012 for 7 nights to Vdara hotel flying Virgin from Manchester. Question - total package price is pretty much the same with Virgin hotels or booking flight and hotel separately (via the hotel) but;

Booking with the hotel gets $100 beverage vouchers.
Booking hotel only with lowcostusa is cheaper for the hotel by about £80 but includes $22 resort fee so a fair bit cheaper.
Booking package with Lowcostusa is about £80 cheaper each plus includes resort fee which means about £130 cheaper - how can this be???
Is it worth messing around booking separately? Could I email the hotel anyway and ask if they would still honur the voucher (our booking is in the right period and covers the terms to stay 2 nights)
    Any ideas/suggestions welcome.
    Thanks

I like Cirque shows...I'm not a Beatles fan, but Love is my favorite Cirque show...go figure. I used to say O was, but after the 2nd time seeing Love I swapped...would like to see O again as it has been years and was our first Cirque show, to see how I rank it post-Love. We haven't seen Zumanity or Believe, and wouldn't unless they were very, very cheap or free...but have seen the others including Le Reve.

It's so much a matter of personal taste as we've discussed before...for every Cirque show someone loved, someone else hated it....

We booked tickets to Absinthe for our next trip. The code SOC20 still works for $20 off a ticket for the lower priced tickets. We were going to go for the VIP tickets as I swear they used to be only $20 more than the regular tickets...but not anymore. I do HATE Ticketmaster charges though..it's gotten completely insane...we thought about waiting until we were in town, but want to go on a Saturday...and worried it could sell out...at least the $20 off covered the fees.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Is it worth messing around booking separately? Only you can answer that, I cant remember last time I booked a package as I enjoy all the legwork and the ability to change hotel right up to departure

Could I email the hotel anyway and ask if they would still honur the voucher (our booking is in the right period and covers the terms to stay 2 nights)
Cant hurt to try, although from experience I have found it very difficult to get replies from emails to Vegas hotels (if you can even find the address) I prefer to ring them

    Any ideas/suggestions welcome.
    Thanks

Cold Stone Creamery Groupon...but only good at Summerlin location...so maybe good for a stop on the way to or from Red Rock or something...we haven't been to Red Rock Casino for awhile...so may buy one on the basis we would have a reason to be in the area. It's not such a signficiant savings as to be worth driving 10 miles out of our way...but if it's (sort of) on the way somewhere else we're going...:)

    $5 for $10...
