VALUE FOR MONEYnvh - that was interesting, enjoyed the pics. We're vegetarian though, so the food wasn't really to my liking lol, - but I agree the mac cheese bites looked good and I will definitely be ordering some of those next time we're in Vegas!
Laughed at the Zzyzx Road sign - hubby tried to take a pic of it last month as we passed it, however it came out really blurry etc.0 -
Thinking of heading back to vegas next year, to celebrate my 30th. last time we went was in a combined west coast tour back in 2008, staying 4 nights at the bellagio. This time i'm thinking we will do something like 7 nights in vegas and perhaps a few nights in san fran. We will probably look at flying into san fran as this seems to have better flying club rewards - me and hubby have a large amount of virgin flying miles to utilise.0

Use the International Call Checker on this site for cheap calls to the US. And book well in advance - we booked a month out only time we could get was 9:45...that meal was a few days ago and officially the best meal I've ever had...though we don't go high end very often so it was bound to impress me...orice was about what we paid at Top of the World which we thought was vastly over-priced in terms of the food...with the view, OK I guess I can see it...but the night we went the food wasn't anything remotely special...completely different story at GR.
On the Caesars buffet we were so glad we had ditched the BOB idea earlier...on a Thursday thinking about what to eat we thought we might just go to the Caesars buffet since we were in the area...that queue! and it was 9pm...on a Thursday! And the priority queue was diamond and 7 stars only (we are neither)...we would have been so terribly annoyed had we committed to the BOB the night before at PH buffet and then found this.
We move to Cosmo tomorrow...so it will be laundry day!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYHi Ferf, glad you liked GR. We have just checked into Orleans for the second half of our trip. Flight from SF was delayed because it rained. Good thing they don't do that in the UK, we'd never make it anywhere!0

VALUE FOR MONEYhi pebbles - sorry about the delay...rain, really? it's kind of funny when you think about it - that they can't handle a bit of it!
Looking forward to seeing you guys on Wednesday!
And for any Ellis Island BBQ fans -they have moved the restaurant to the back next to the sports book - and to get the players club member price you have to print a voucher at one of the players club kiosks. Hubby isn't sure he thinks the ribs are as good as they have been before...I thought they were pretty much business as usual.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
CASINOSDates for Warped Tour 2013 are being announced this Thursday which hopefully means I am booking flights this week!0
