Flights booked for August 28th 2013 for 14 nights direct from Manchester.
7 Nights at Golden Nugget & 7 nights at Ballys.

    Total comes to £980

    Not bad me thinks.

Does the 20dollar trick work at these places.

Do you need a credit card to book into these hotels, it doesn't mention it on low cost usa but does on other websites, i hope not because i haven't got one??????????????

    Thanks:j

    Looks a good price...for 1 I assume.

Hotels will ask for a credit card when checking in but i think they will allow a cash deposit or if you are especially nice maybe no deposit at all.

You may get better answers though as some on here have been without a CC

Can i ask how you got those prices though

A quick check on lowcost usa has the 2 hotels at £659, even ballys friends and family rates dont get it down less than that, which only leaves £350 for the flight
  • Flights were through Thomas Cook, came in at £1300 for 2 of us.

Golden Nugget for the first 7 nights came to £292.

Ballys was booked for the 2nd 7 nights through Clever Hotels for £336.99

I thought this was kind of a good price.

If i have to pay a cash deposite do you know how much roughly as we are on a budget.

    Thanks

That makes sense now, it was because you had said the price was £980, not £1960 for 2.

I couldnt work out how it was that for 1 traveller but of course the hotel prices are halved for 2 people

I have no idea about the amount of cash deposit, do neither traveller have a CC

Never heard of cleverhotels, just checked with them and they are cheaper for my rqd dates in may next year. have you used them before and did you pay in euros or pounds as I see it is a german site...not that it is a problem paying in euros

The other half paid for the Ballys, it was paid for in GBP. According to Trip Advisor Clever Hotels has been going since 2005 and is recommended.

The email confirmation and hotel vouchers were received propmptly so just hoping lol.

No unfortunately neither of us have a credit card and deffo do not want one.

But you only eat the pasta, don't you?;)

Yes, I had Penne Arrabiate and it was really good. Hubby had Eggplant stuffed with spaghetti and he really enjoyed that too.

don't know if your Golden Nugget booking has free cancellation, but I've just seen this offer that beats it:

$39 Golden Nugget Rooms Limited Availability
Plus BOGO Breakfast and Lunch Buffet
    2 Free Drinks
    $10 Match Play Voucher

Richard E Grant's Hotel Secrets on Sky Atlantic just featured Vegas, including a tour around Augustus 8818 at Caesars - the suite you can't hire. amazing.

Also had an interview with Steve Cyr, interesting stuff!

I'm sure it'll be repeated ad nauseum and on Anytime...
