Yeah i thought the question may be a bit subjective. But the idea of booking shows before you go is a good one. I was looking at shows last night to try and factor in costs but i like your idea better.0

CASINOSIf you book a show before you go I would avoid first night and possibly second as you will probably fall asleep.....0
-
VALUE FOR MONEYI would also be sure to shop around on shows booked beforehand - use the links on the first page...there are 3rd party websites that overcharge quite a lot...vegas.com used to be awful for it...not sure if they still are.
And there are some shows that are almost always available at Tix4Tonight...but many times discounts available for booking in advance that means the price isn't that much higher.
If you have any specific shows and can't find discounts at travelzoo or smartervegas, etc. folks here can give you a steer if discounts are about.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I know there's a gold mine of information within these pages, Im just being a lazy so and so. Haha I'll get my finger out and start reading it one of these nights.0

Quick question - my partner and i are looking at las Vegas as a holiday destination this year. The flights and accommodation I've found at a reasonable price, but what would be a good amount to factor in for spends? I figure food would be cheap enough, but for shows, excursions and outings what would be a reasonable amount? I wouldn't want to get there and realise id not taken enough. Las Vegas doesn't seem to be a place you'd wanna do half ar5ed
Like the peeps here have already said, everybody does stuff differently, so it hard to say how much to take.
While a few people on here do shows and fine dining, there's others who do trips and shopping (that's us)
Myself and DH on a Vegas trip usually do one show, one fine dining (although last time we did get two free buffets in the Wynn on Sunday so we counted that as posh :rotfl:) The rest of the time, we go to the malls and eat at the Fashion Mall food court or in the casino ones which have lots of choice and are reasonably priced (and generous - our very first McDonalds over there was an eye opener, and you can't beat Nathans fries with chesse and bacon)
I'm assuming that it's your first Vegas trip? We just took in all the atmos, did the GC, got a hire car and wandered about. Oh, and we bought lots of jeans and trainers and an extra suitcase in the Outlet Mall :rotfl: We prefer to do the shopping bit more than seeing lots of shows.
We got married there too, which was great fun. nothing beats being toasted on the way to the chapel by a wino with a bottle of JD in a paper bag :TBEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

most of the key points are all compiled onto the first page - really is a lot of good stuff there...but if you have any specific questions there's more than likely to be someone here who can point you in the right direction.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYJust to let you know that the TI Kahunaville cocktail offer is back on at Travelzoo, $25 for 6 cocktails.
Heading out in just under 4 weeks, think I'm in trouble if I buy any more food/drink/show tickets, but hey, I like to be prepared and get good deals!0 -
Would that offer still be valid in august ?0
