awesome photos! and the deep fried Oreo sundae - see I have had the deep fried oreos at Mermaid's downtown and was not terribly impressed, but this looks like a whole different level and may just have to go on the 'to-do' list for this trip!
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I've tried the ones from Mermaids on a previous trip and they were pretty horrible - I think they are made with a batter? The ones in Serendipity are coated in cornflakes then fried, so, well amazing! Especially with the ice cream, chocolate sauce and marshmallow sauce!

Oh, and I was off work today so I made the Asian Nachos (Grand Lux Style) from the recipe you posted - they are little pieces of heaven and my husband thinks I'm the best wife ever tonight :rotfl:So thanks for that!!

Been a while (again!) since i logged on here.
Our 14 night mega-trip is in 3 weeks... im sure the days are going slower the closer we get.
Learned a lot from our 2010 trip, and the excitement levels are getting a bit daft.

    Plans so far:
    - Scoot City new Strip & Downtown Tour
    - Hoover Dam Tour
    - Queen Extravaganza Show @ House of Blues
    - Absinthe
    - Penn & Teller (2-4-1 with LVA)
    - Peep Show
    - Downtown Zipline
    - Mac King & Nathan Burton
    - Atomic Testing Museum
    - Local comic book store to fulfill my nerdy needs
    - Stripburger & HHAGG with restaurant.com certs
    - Wet Shave at Art of Shaving
    - Trip to the Outlet Mall, and a very long list of other shops.

Plus a million and one bars and restaurants we want to try, and plenty of sitting by the pool in the June heat :)

We'd love to move America but with no US family ties it seems pretty inconceivable for us as we don't have jobs that are in demand or over £300k spare (or whatever it costs)

We do buy a lottery ticket every now and again tho ;)

there was a show awhile back about properties for sale in Vegas...we nearly wept...for what we paid for our small terraced house in London we could get a mansion (well, might as well be) with a pool in a lovely area and have money to spare (and our house didn't cost that much).

But we couldn't live there...too hot in the summer...waaaay too hot for us...plus I'm pretty sure the lure of the slots would mean that we'd be broke in 6 months. ;)
