We've stayed / eaten in Springdale (pretty much the canyon)... Wanted a cheap'ish option for food so went for simple 'sports bar' burger fare at Switchback Jacks. From memory, had a lovely burger, and you also had the option of having half normal fries, and half sweet potato fries (which were interesting to try, but not for me I don't think :D ). Seemed a nice little bar and was heaving with every table taken.

Its a-joined to Switchback Grille so you have that as an option if you prefer something a bit fancier

here's a random question for you!

am planning to play the slots a little more on our next trip (now I know how it all works!) ... and so will take advantage of cocktail waitress service.

now, I don't drink alcohol, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend some fun/different non-alcoholic drinks to have, rather than sticking to the safe bet of a coke or juice?!

is it the done thing to tip a bit more than the $1/$2 per drink if ordering cocktails/fancy drinks?

When we were there last year, we wanted a break from the norm (Malibu & beer) and we asked the cocktail waitress at the Wynn what they recommended. The margaritas kept us going lol:rotfl:
So, if you aren't sure, just ask them about their non alcoholic drinks. I'm sure they'll be happy to help. I have to be honest, I did see some rather Del-Boy-esque drinks on the waitress trays, and not much in the way of juice or Coke.
We tipped $5 at time as she was bringing us 2 drinks at a time (1 each, our legs aren't hollow :rotfl:) she kept returning, so I'm assuming that was ample.
BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

you can ask for most things "virgin" and no that doesn't mean that they will stop serving you drinks after 5 hours:D
Virgin colada, Virgin Margarita, you get the gist
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I got 4 wilds playing at Paris. I can't remember how much I won, but it was a decent amount for max lines minimum bet.

Where did you stay? Was looking at a b+b but they all want 2 night stays, we are planning on one night only and all the hotels look fairly unspectacular.

We stayed in the Inca Inn in Moab (for 2 nights). It's a basic budget motel but clean and comfortable enough. They have a continental breakfast which does the job. Unfortunately for us, we arrived on the day they were finishing renovating the parking lot (and surrounds). But the staff and owner were very friendly and helpful.

The accommodation in Moab is all a bit pricey compared to Vegas as it's such a small town. But it is beautiful round there (everywhere!) and there is a ton of things to do (especially if you're the adventurous type).
