I'm a newbie too and planning my first LV trip for Sep. Can't help with travelzoo but I have registered with restaurant.com and today bought my first batch of vouchers using the HUNT discount code that has just come up. Very straightforward as they just sit in your account until you want to print them, so it doesn't matter that you are in the uk. I used the zip code 89109 to search as advised in this thread.

Thanks for replying. I can't seem to access that section either. No idea what I'm doing wrong. I've sent them an email so hopefully i'll get it resolved.

I've had an email back from Total Rewards about being unable to register my account online. Apparently I should have been asked for my Post Code when I signed up so they just need to update their records.

I was convinced it was me doing something wrong but at least it's resolved.

Now I just need to persuade my husband to go to Vegas every 6 months so our points don't expire.

Out of interest if you win a fair amount of money what is the best way to get it back to the UK and into £ in your bank? Is £10,000 the limit for taking cash from the US to UK?

I hope to have this problem :rotfl:

Just use the points before you leave, just in case...that's what we do unless we're sure we will be back to Vegas or another CET casino within 6 months...otherwise there's too much risk they will go to waste, or we'll feel we have to go within 6 months or lose them. :)

Using the points won't impact any comps or reduced room rates you might be offered, so may as well use them up unless you're sure you'll be going back.

We had over $300 to use when we arrived in Feb due to a promotion we did the previous trip and we just about got through that - but didn't make it through any of what we earned while there...if we were not going to see family where we will spend a few nights at a CET hotel/casino outside of Vegas this summer, we would have found a way to use the points before we left.

It is nice that you can use them more places than you used to be able to...PF Chang's was a nice surprise as last time we checked they did not take TR credits...not sure when it changed because we hadn't asked in quite awhile, but did this trip as we had so much to use.

our running joke toward the end of the trip was 'we have to PAY for FOOD?! omg, what madness is this?' :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    1. Does anyone have a Cabo Wabo groupon I can buy?

    2. What is the best off strip casino for low limits on Saturday night? ($5 max) Be nice if it wasn't too smoky. Not looking for a party place but somekind of lively atmosphere would be nice.

We loved the Orleans last year so much that we are going back this year and spending the first week there. The prices there really do them huge favours in my opinion.
