Anyone know the current restaurant.com discount code? BLOOM expired yesterday!
thanks so much for the (inadvertant) reminder! :)

Probably worth a recap for people on here, but I've just got -
    - $25 First Food Bar and Grill
    - $25 Stripburger voucher
    for just $2.50 each.

    Here's how:
I purchased a $50 gift certificate (probably over a year ago) for just $5 during one of the code promotions

Logged on to redeem it this morning and as expected, the full array of vouchers were available (as when redeeming a certificate, it can be slightly more limited choice than when going through the normal site), and managed to get both the vouchers we've been after at a full (90%?) discount price.

sadly they figured out that people figured out that loophole and you can't use the discount codes on the generic non-restaurant specific gift certificates anymore. :( well, unless they changed it back again, I haven't checked recently.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Yeah I think Bloom expired at midnight last night. Can't find the current one anywhere, off on Thursday and I wanna get a Stripburger before they sell out!

    Hi thebaroness.

I had a similar problem with the postcode but it was a simple fix.

In my case, I went into the 'my details' section and saw that the code they had recorded was incorrect. I updated the correct one and was able to log in after.

    Hope it works for you.

Thanks for replying. I can't seem to access that section either. No idea what I'm doing wrong. I've sent them an email so hopefully i'll get it resolved.

    SHOWS

    Tuesday 20th March

Go shopping to Town Square for Abercrombie & Fitch clothes for our family ($220) and they also had 40% off sale items, much better value than Fitch store at FSM. Then for revisit a lovely Italian Restaurant (Brio Tuscan Grill) We manage to get a seat outside in the sunshine. We both Caesars Salad, I have Shrimp Risotto which was lovely, OH has the best Lasagne she has tasted for the 2nd year in a row. Both inside and outside the restaurant were almost full and this was at 12:30 in the afternoon. Somehow manage to get my face sunburnt sitting outside, so A/C required tonight in the room

Afternoon nap for 4 -5 hours , cant really be bothered doing much then just get carry in food and chill in the room as I still was not 100%

    Wednesday 21st March
Ross’s at Riviera for shopping early in the morning, bought lots and lots for our grand daughter

We sunbathed for an hour on wed afternoon, in the very nice pool area at the Mirage, some contruction work and noise that might upset some but not us.

After a few drinks in the room - at night we go to Kahunaville at Treaure Island, intend to eat a some point after using the Travlezoo 6 cocktails for $25 but after the cocktails we are in no fit state for food and we stagger back to the tram from TI to Mirage and that was us for the night :o
    .
    Thursday 22nd

Subway foot long for a very late breakfast and spent a couple of hours by the pool chilling and recovering. The pool area in the Mirage is just a short walk from the room thankfully

In the afternoon we took some time out, chilled on the strip enjoying the sunshine for most of the afternoon in front of Ballys people watching.

In the evening we went to Ellis Island and had half rack of ribs each, chatted to a few locals at thr bar, one of who had fought Tommy Hearns in his prime, nice guys inc Jeff McCracken boxer. I was a big boxing fan back in the day so had to get nudged by Mrs McP to remind me that we had front row tickets to Carrot Top in the Luxor – we arrive with 15 minutes to spare and get our tickets from the will call booth. Got the tickets from a Travelzoo offer $95 for the two.

Carrot Top - I cannot recommend this show enough, such a funny funny show – we both loved every minute and a lot of his topics were current and very up to date

    Friday 23rd

Went to town Square for another Abercrombie fix, only 30% off red line sale items this time, then visited the Hollister store which had 40% off some items.

Lunch at FSM – Mexican fast food .

At night after a few beers/wines we go to Bills to see Big Elvis’s last show but alas no big Elvis so finish my pitcher and we head over to Ellis Island for a few beers/wines, for food I have steak and Shrimp, Mrs McP has Chicken Parmesan which was lovely. Use last 2 for 1 AGC for EI – feel gulty and leaves waitress $10 tip – waddle back to The Mirage and start packing- so full !

    Saturday 24th

Organised a late check out at the Mirage 3PM and was $34, wished we’d have asked and payed for later though but it was a Saturday night so maybe it woudn't have been available

Off to Belagio Brunch Buffet – 35 minute wait at 10:30 - $29.99 with Champers (well Freixnett) on a par with the best buffet we’ve been to (Wynn) but less expensive, we loved everything we tried.
Quick rush down to Ross’s at MGM , 2 purses and three dresses later and I was sitting on the cases trying to get them shut, then check out at 3, wander aimlessly for a couple of hours then its off to the airport only to realise that manflu has set in – worst flight ever coughing shivering sweating – couldn’t even watch a movie, seated in row 43 if you were the women next to me apologies for the heat coming from me.

Quick change at London and arrive at Glasgow minus 1 suitcase – thanks BA – it arrived on Monday though.

Lovely daughter picked us up and we were home for 7pm – I was in bed for 8pm and missed Dancing On Ice Final (thankfully)

    Summing Up
Best part was Carrot Top – cant get over how many times we were going to see him and thought – Nahhhh….
Shopping was usual great value for money and the main reason we go

    Low point
Flights both way with BA – Fair enough I wasn’t 100% but they were very uncomforatable

Possibly last trip for a couple of years as we want to try new places and we really need to go for 10/11 nights next time and hopefully see the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam for the first time.

We are trying Dubai for the first time in June for 11 nights so we’ll see how that goes.

After almost a week back I'm still struggling with this flu like bug and have struggled to write a TR

I've an almost full book of ACG 2012 vouchers, minus Ellis island vouchers, Golden Nugget 2 for 1 buffet and Fitz of Laughter Show.

Also a spare Kahunaville 6 cocktails for $25 Travelzoo voucher.

Let me know if anyone wants them....

jadamcp - hope you start to feel real better soon!

thanks so much for the trip report, i don't know why i love reading them so much on here :D but there's always something i read that reminds to make sure we do next time round!

i keep forgetting about Town Square, so will definitely head there next time. is it easy on the bus, or just as well getting a cab?

is Town Square better than the North / South outlet malls?

I think it is the Deuce that stops right outside Town Square, very easy to get to.

There is an Old Navy store there which is quite good. Also Texas de Brasil, but I would recommend booking for there.

it is very easy to get to Town Square on the bus - I would take the SDX rather than the Deuce to save time/stops, but it is not an outlet mall...so whether you find any bargains may be down to any sales/offers they have on at the time on current or recent season's stock...whereas outlets will normally be discounts on older stock...so not always easy to compare, depends on what someone is after.
